Rivkeh Yankee-Shoes... bashing about the BoE again Started conversation Jul 25, 2002
Am I to understand there is another C.S. Lewis buff among us? If I am correct, then doubly welcome! I love Lewis, he is among my favorites, about equal with Elizabeth Elliot in my personal quotability.
I just finished Salmon of Doubt last month... that's where I became aquainted with h2g2 as well.
Since I was not employed over the summer, I had plenty of time to get aquainted with the ways of the guide, so if you need help learning guideML, finding stuff to do, or just wanna chat over a cup of or , feel free to get in touch!

Thanks for the welcome. And I am a CS Lewis fan. As a youngster I was introduced first to the Perelandria series (was in to Sci Fi more then) and came across Narnia later.
Whilst doing theological studies I came across some of his essays and I think they are excellent - always fresh, and unencumbered by theological traditions and presuppositions. Well those that I understood anyway.
I've read Pilgrims Regress twice and am still a long way off on that - probably because I have no philosophical background.
I never got back to the Salmon of Doubt last night - I got so involved in h2g2!
I trust you have gainful use of time again now!
When I figure out how to add smileys I'll do it! (last time I previewed a message it just included the markup not the cup!
Oh - now it works.
Thanks for the offer of help - I'll remember that
Cheers!

I have glimmering 2 1/2 weeks before I go back to work! Have not read Pilgrim's regress... yet. Read Mere Christianity the most out of his apologetics. The Perelandra series was only tackled 2 years ago, and I have to say it was worth the wait. How are things on your end?

Hi!
Now you only have 2 weeks before work...
I've just been away for a few days break - with no PC (I dind't even turn the laptop on!) and did a bit of reading. (Mostly holiday junk)
Good to see the CS Lewis article posted today.
