Well I don't think it'd go that far... he's only trying to stick up for Yael, I guess. And none of us have any *real* power here, to the extent that it could become a dictatorship. There's always room for, you know, splinter groups and whatever.

Like I said, I don't think Dan fully appreciates why everyone's so annoyed over this. I was tempted to put a link to this thread from there, but I thought it wouldn't be right on you, and it might be inappropriate anyway, so I didn't.

I just hope... I don't know, it seems like there's a lot of misunderstandings over this, and I can't think of a way that everyone can explain their point of view without it erupting into a huge argument.

I gotta say though, while I understand Dan wanting to get things sorted with Ben, I don't think email would be a good forum for the discussion. Im my experience arguments taken away from a public forum can become personal and nasty. So I was kind of... I just didn't think email was a good idea, I suppose.

This is one of those times when people can't see where the other party is coming from... As in, Dan still thinking it was about the innuendo comments...

I don't know if it's better to try make them understand, or to wait for this to blow over.

If they're still arguing later, I might point Dan and Yael this way.

I know sweetie. No-one on earth would take the other option. It was just... a thoughtless comment, I suppose.

Sometimes people's own problems are so close up they obscure bigger problems that are perhaps a little way further off. *shrug* But it was a very insensitive thing to say.

Me and Ben were both very angry about that comment of Yael's. Ben was absolutely fuming about it, he really was. He was so angry at Yael even thinking of comparing her situation to you and Jack. Both Ben and I care very much about the two of you.

I don't think Dan and Yael realise that it's that that's causing the problem, though.

I think I will tell them later. It's important that they realise how everyone's feeling over this.

I wish there was something better I could do to help. But I shall endeavour to use diplomacy and stuff. And maybe untangle a few threads and calm frayed nerves. Hopefully.
