of course we can use this thread. digibox! I've heard it causes quite a few problems for other researchers too.
How are you today? Have you recovered from your ordeal the other day?
Kat, I'm keeping fine, except that, that's my boys are away for Christmas with their Dad and his new wife, . It means it'll just be hubby and I for Christmas this year. We'll still try to make the most of it though.
Take care Kat, and have a lovely day with no stesses

Hi Prideth
I hope you have had a good day. I have been finishing off getting the rest of the s and all I need to to do which I find the hardest thing is wrapping them.
I went into a Salvation Army shop and bought a very good quality binoculars which only cost £3. When I used to watch Sky at Night (repeats in the day-time) Sir Patrick Moore said you do not have to buy an expensive telepscope but ordinary binoculars would do to start with when you are gazing.
Thanks of your very kind and touching thoughts and thank you for the Christmas , big box of Belgian (when I used to watch Hercules Poirot he used to buy Belgian truffles every Christmas and in the morning have a hot cup of , mulled (I have got mulled spices, I have not had mulled but I have had mead), and for the Stollen .
May the Christmas and the New Year bring all your wishes and dreams come true.

A happy Christmas Eve mornin' to ya Kat!
for your kind wishes.
My Gran was a wonder at wrapping presents, you'd think she was a professional. Not me though! I always wished I'd inherited her present wrapping ability, .
I've not watched Patrick Moore's 'Sky at Night' for a long, long time. I used to know nearly all the major constellations when I was three, a friend of the family taught me, but I've forgotten them now. In fact, when I was just 4 years old, he inspired me so much, that I wanted to be an astrophysicist when I grew up. Needless to say, that was a non starter!
You're quite right Kat, binoculars don't need to be expensive to be effective, my cheaper pair were always better. I hope you have many happy hours gazing!
Mead? Oooh, you lucky thing you! I've always fancied trying it, but haven't as yet.
Have a good'n Kat

Happy Christmas Eve Prideth
I hope your day has been good and not too hetic. I have been doing the final shopping today. For the first time I have been in Grays, the market has been open on yesterday and today. Which was good as I got my sister a Doctor Who video Tom Baker and some Star Wars Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi.
When I was about 6 to 13 I wanted to become an astronaut and become like the crew on Star Trek. I used to glance at my Dads sci-fi books as they had unusual picutures on the fro front covers and read the small description on the back.
Thanks I hope I will have plenty hours of gazing at the clear night sky and wondering what faraway worlds that could be inhabited faraway from our solar system.
I am making beef stronganoff what I most like about is the paprika sauce and the red peppers with it.
I have had mead when I went to Lindisfarne when I was living in Ashington. It has an usual taste but it is very potent and I only had a few sips.
I hope you will have a great Christmas Prideth.
Here is some special vintage champagne that I bought today

Mornin' Kat
Well, was good to you Kat? How was your Christmas then? I hope it was fantastic? Ours was nice and quiet, the very best bit being, when I got speaking to my boys on the phone.
So...your sister's a big sci-fi fan too then, oh, and of course your Dad too. Great minds think alike, eh Kat? Mind you, what's not to like? It would be so to be able to travel the s just like in Star Trek, wouldn't it?
Ohh, yummy, Stroganoff! I paprika too! for the special vintage Kat, did you have that with your Stroganoff? Hicc! Hicc! Oooh, the bubbles went up my nose! Powerful stuff too, hicc....hicc....
Hope you have a nice relaxing day, today, now that Christmas has been and gone, Kat.

Ohhh, was good to you right enough! what great prezzies! Glad you had such a wonderful Christmas Kat . Yummy! I duck! We used to have that for Christmas dinner when I was wee (obviously without the vintage , *lol*).
was really good to me too. I got Thortons almond & marzipan dark , a fab new diary filled with all sorts of trivia and cartoons, a really cute teddy plate from my boys, and a gorgeous new figurine with light-up crystal to add to my collection.
Christmas lunch was turkey cooked in mandarines and honey (my speciality), orange, lime, and thyme stuffing (another of my concoctions), chestnut & cranberry stuffing (out of a packet), chipolattas, roast/boiled tatties, parsnips, sprouts, peas, swede/carrot mix, as Yule Brynner in King & I said, "etc, etc, etc", . Then, on top of that, & cream for me, hubby doesn't like so he had Tiramisu and cream. Xmas and mincepies, phew! it'll keep us till next Christmas!
It's great to be talkin' with ya again Kat

Afternoon Prideth
I hope you are keeping well and are having a great time. One year for Christmas we had wild duck but there was alot of feathers to take off the bird. We have had venison I cannot remember what it tasted like.
I am very fond of dark , I have had dark with 70% cocoa solids. I have a big called Silver Wolf, he is sitting on a chair in mn my bedroom now. I love the idea of a crystal which lights up, it must be very beautiful. Your meal sounds very professionally made and very delicious. There is one thing I am very fond isrench cheese. Sometimes I get the French goat's cheese and I could eat a whole portion on my own.
I hope that 2004 will bring all the joy and that all your dreams that you hoped fullfilled.
Take care Prideth

Mornin' Kat
for asking how I'm keeping - unfortunately both hubby and yours truly have the dreaded flu *again*! It's actually affected my chest worse this time round and I'm finding it very difficult to breathe.
I hope you are keeping well, you've gotten over your cold, yeah? How's yer Mam and Dad?
for your kind compliments about my cookin'. I do my best. I've never had venison, but have heard it's rather tasty. Z said it was one of the meats she missed, being a veggie, remember. I cheese too, especially goats' cheese, but hubby hates it, so I can't afford to buy it just for myself .
Ooohh, Silver Wolf, your sounds cute as tuppence! ly ! I really miss being able to have pets .
for the warm New Year wishes Kat, I hope all your dreams come true too!

Mornin' Kat
and very muckle for your get well soon wishes from both hubby and myself, and the recommended remedies ideas. This is the second time I've caught it! At the mo' it's a case of drinking lots of fluids, (hot ) and paracetamol every four hours, plus Tunes/Lockets. So, other sugestions are most welcome.
How are you and yer Mam and Dad doin'? I hope you're all feelin' much improved, 'cause you all had this bug too?
My angler friend phoned last night, and I think he was going to ask me to go with him to help out at his hatchery today, but he heard the croaking and didn't bother to ask, thank goodness. I hate having to say no! The eggs seem to be doing really well this year, not so many losses as this time last year, so he's chuffed to bits.
Ah, well, if I don't manage to see him beforehand, I'll see him and three of my other wildlifenut chums on the 9th of January. We're having our annual get together, and an early birthday party for me . I'm really looking forward to seeing them all at the same time, instead of separately.
Have a smashin' day Kat, take good care of yerself
Prideth
How's yer gazing comin' on?
