Having played warhammer for about 13-14 years now, i read you guide entery.
Now its great for any beginner to read, but theres some bits id like to update due to them being incorrect, and other points needing to be added.
Would you mind if i set about updating it?

Go for it; I knew when I wrote it that I'd end up accidentaly missing some things out

Its not missing stuff out exactly. Games workshop being the fickle thing it is and constantly evolving has meant the entery has just become dated (e.g. orge kingdoms and wood elves need to be updated), origins of warhammer, and possibly other bits and peices.
Ill set to it soon and let you know of my progress

There soon will be
Expect rock and water style dryads, the best plastic archers GW has ever done, plastic cavalry, and i suspect plastic glade riders.
Want me to get some more info?

if you could; I've been out of touch with the Warhammer world for a while. Last I heard WE's were going dark and that was all that they were saying.

Not so much dark, more feral. Started a wood elf army not so long back but didnt get very far (4 warhawaks, a dragon, and a handful of archers) as my chaos legion drew me away.
Give me about an hour ill grab as much info as i can for ye

Chaos, tuh! Some people
I was going to collect a Chaos army once... but lack of money sort of ended that plan!

I sort of had the same idea, then i saw the new warriors at games day and havent looked back since (money has forced me to stick to only 24, but there willl be more damn it!)
Anyway heres a round up of what ive found so far. If it contradicts then my appologise.
- The army can be fielded like current, or comprised only of beasts (so just treemen, dryads etc)
- Dryads will go from weird looking things to feminine, semi-naked affairs.
- There will be two types of tree man, ogre size (like the current) and giant size
- Centigor types, expanding on the wood elves returning to nature and moving away from heavy cavalry
- Strong celtic theme running throughout the army
- The army is being completely overhalled, which is why its took so long. Everything is being done new. Only the treeman is likely to survive, and the eagle (as its used by high elves)
- Allegedly, the armour is suppose to look like this http://landfantasy.free.fr/Auteurs%20H/Howe/howelotr2.htm except without the helm. Think the elves of helms deep for the cavalry. Although i beleive the infantry will still be armour less
- Range extended to 36" i think
- Killing blow at half range (which means that anything on foot, within 18" is basically dead meat). However, this could just be poisoned (auto wound).
- Waywatchers getting killing blow, multiple shots, and targeting people. Basically if archie goes near them, hes a dead man walking. Possibly also works on mounted models.
- Beast masters that control animal packs (lions and tigers and bears)
- Scouts possibly being dropped, in favor of having normal archers skirmish
- Possibly stag riders instead of having glade riders. If not there will be a stag for the mages to ride
- New elf steed models
- Wardancers will have optional weapons and optional dances. Not to certain on the weapons myself (heard might be a spear option like the originals) but the dances will be like maks for chaos at the moment, just bought as upgrades.
- There will be two other types of dryad. A water version and a rock version. Bugger knows how they'll do a rock one. Oh and theres also suppose to be a hero version (i think the dryads will be upgradeable to these other two forms)

Yeah, I'd heard some of those before, though GW has supposedly denied every single one (I think someone compiled a list somewhere of everything they denied and it turned out they have actually denied the fact that WE's exist!). Still all of them are cool so if only one is true .

I wouldnt mind a stag for my mage, and if the glade riders are half as good as they sound they it shouldnt be hard to make stag riders (costly, but still). Cant complain at a bigger treeman (after seeing the Mumak, im hoping for something about that big ). Wouldnt like them to redo way watchers minis (favorite mini of all time is the one with the mask over his mouth) but the rules look fantastic

That Way Watcher IS the greatest! I'm kinda hoping they go back to old rules for Wardancers and let us give them greatswords and spears and stuff

I wouldnt mind spear and sheild (a la troy), although great weapons im not to sure on (id like to see anyone dance with a broadsword) - although rolls of 1 could lop off the heads of a wardancers, that'd be fun

Id have something similar with the doomseekers though (the slayers with chain axes)
Its all sounding rather good, but then again so is orge kingdoms...

Where've you been sken??
Ogre kingdoms is basically expanding on an idea they did years back on the fluff, where groups of ogres would go off, smash stuff up etc and create kingdoms.
The leader type is called a Tyrant (big and fat)
There bodyguards are maneaters (two handed weapons)
Iron guts are basically armourded ogres
Theres a unit which carries mini cannons (yes cannons)
Normal ogre unit
Gnoblars (not quite a snotling, but not quite a goblin, look cool. They form in units and also ride on the ogres)
Theres yetis (you can work that one out)
And the scrap launcher (catapult, killing blow, large template, pulled by rhino, acts as chariot)
