The best present I ever got was an answerphone. It means TOTAL independance about who you talk to and when. It's much better to talk to people you don't want to, on your terms, three minutes before knock off time.
It will be the best thing you'll ever do. Just make sure you can hear people as they start to leave a message so you can pick up if you want to talk to them.
