Personally, I think the most important thing I showed you was to use Goo instead of Alabaster Oh, something I did forget was to remind you to read the house rules, which I think you have to say you've done when you sign up... especially the bits to do with foreign language content, though French should normally be okay
Oh, and congratulations on your first double-post, doing that's practically an initiation rite around here
Oh, yes, absolutely, get back to writing that statement you, stop wasting time!

Oooo, that's an even more important initiation rite! The simulpost (or simupost, or simpost) - when two posts go up at the same time like that. *Very* common

is there somewhere that explains all those emoticons ? i'm afraid i'm a little limited in my emoticon vernacular
doing a million things at once- still reading salmon of doubt too, and loved the bit about deadlines: "I love deadlines... I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by"
i can see why you like this guy so much :-Þ
oh, dyou get my email??
Hei ellie
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Jul 14, 2002
Yep! Just click on one of them - that'll take you to the </.>Smiley</.> page, which will tell you all of the 95-odd different emoticons around h2g2. Basically, it's a case of using angled brackets and the name of the smiley, which you can find by hovering the mouse cursor over the image - a little text box will come up saying, for example, monster. All you do then is insert the name in between angled brackets, like so
Yes, that's definitely one of my favourite quotes I wouldn't quite say it's the defining philosophy of my life, but it'd have to go close
Not if you sent one recently... I got the one a bit before 2, which I replied to, but that's it...

I just *knew* you'd find that one first! Careful though, around here I have many many tentacles with which to, for example
you back
Still lurking, but posting as well, catching up on old conversations I've been ignoring *posts email* Emailing too About time to get ready for w**k now though... how's the introduction coming?

2230... you back from work yet?
if you are... still going strong... well, still going anyhow. believe it or not, i haven't touched that statement since this morning... !
Hei ellie
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Jul 14, 2002
No, but 2300 and I am
Since I wasn't, what do I get?
You mean, the statement that you have to hand in tomorrow, is that the statement you're talking about? Yes? That one?

Awww...

Yeah, I noticed that, very good Oh, if you want to start getting an idea about GuideML, useful for, say, articles about Andy Warhol , here's what to do to see how other people have done it - If it's someones user page (U145910, for example ) replace the "U" with "testuserpage", so you'd get http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/testuserpage145910 . Alternatively, if it's an article, simply replace the "A" with "test", so A785982 would become http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/A785982
Oh, right, just checking How much *have* you done?
Hei ellie
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Jul 14, 2002
*slaps forehead*
Becomes http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/test785982 of course

salut... how's the brain feeling this morning ?
Going in to uni later to drop off this application and thought i might as well pick up the pile of essays at the same time... not really ready for it though, but i guess with results on thursday and all, i don't really have much of a choice but to BE ready !
oh, is it lunch time already.... *wanders off to fridge*
*hihii*

Fine and dandy, merci beaucoup
Are you sure!?!? Maybe pick them up, don't look at them and post them to... Mawson Base in the Antarctic or something
No, it's not lunch time, it's only just barely breakfast! Might go up to the hot bread shop I think
I wondered when you'd find that one
Hei ellie
ellie Posted Jul 15, 2002
okay.... but if i post them to antarctica will you come with me to retrieve them after thursday ?
ooooooooooooOO. hot bread ! mmmmm. better watch out for those tricky breadshop ladies though... they'll strip you dry if you give them half a chance
yes, it made me think of that couple we saw on chapel st with the ridiculously unnecessary facial hair
what're the plans for today then ? apart from bread shop ...
Hei ellie
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Jul 15, 2002
Why, soitainly!
Okay, it's not hot anymore, but it's still nice Do you know, once again after saying "No, that's all thanks" she said "I can give you a scotch loaf for $1.50." I don't even know what a scotch loaf is! But I bought one anyway It's a big round thing... I'm going to make some rissoles, or skinless sausages, or something like that out of some beef & lamb mince I just bought, so I'll use some of the Scotch loaf for that
We should make a point of walking down Chapel Street laughing at people
Plans for today are pretty brief... hang around here, maybe watch some more Monty Python, eat, go to w**k, come back home, write another chapter if I get a chance tonight What about you? Other than going and getting your essays, of course...
