What sort?

Sometimes we get stinks that come in from the garden outside, but I know that at least one of your branches is in a bush setting and I was wondering if it was something more interesting like a blue tongue or small dragon.

I see I need to do something about spicing up your life. If you had the time, where would you like to go travelling? Think seriously as I know you are still saving so it can't be to Iceland or anything of that nature. Ironically, it's cheeper to go to NZ than many places in Australia...the airfare is the same as if you were to travel Perth.

Maybe we need to plan a car trip and stretch your little Nova's legs (metaphorically speaking).

It was just a skink. Pretty amazing all the same. Yes it was in Eltham, which is pretty bushy.

How're you going with the fires by the way (I'm assuming you're back in Sydney or did you find a PC in Perth?) I don't think they're near you are they?

I'd really like to go to New York. Just something I've always wanted to do.

Ah well, you may have to do NY by yourself...for me there really is little of interest and it's certianly not a beautiful place...Boston yes...what's so good about that mass of concrete.

Yep, back home and of course the fires have calmed down since the rain. The best thing about living in suburbia is that there is very little bush to burn...well except the few trees around the house.

We've just had a yeller who's caused a bit of an uproar here. He was upset about us discussing a law not allowing under 12's alone in public spaces. We of course get lots of kids after 3pm, and it is neglect to actually leave your kids in a library (public space) alone if they are under 12. They are not capable of looking after themselves and it's ridiculous to think they can. Anyway, he goes off, which is fair enough, where else CAN kids be safe if not in a library...but then demand this and that and gets very upset, yelling and swearing, scaring the children (and us) he was wanting to help.

I ended up saying that to him and I that really brought him back to earth and thankfully, out the door.

I don't know...we can't guarentee our own safety, how can we guarentee the safety of children!

Sad to say...anyway, that's our excitement for today....hopefully...

Unfortunatley Libraries are NOT safe places for children, and the sooner parents learn that and stop using us as a day care centre the better!
We've had an incident where a young girl was assulted, and one where a man exposed himself to some girls.
Parents also shouldn't leave their children alone to look at the internet and view whatever they like, then complain later if they saw something unsuitable. We are not there to look after their children, there just isn't enough of us.

Yes, children under 12 are not allowed to use our machines alone for just that reason.

Thanks for the incidence...not that it would have helped in this case, but people really don't know how grubby the world is...they walk around blind sometimes and if a parent complains one day, maybe I can use those examples then.
