Hi there! And welcome to h2g2. My name is Solnushka and I am one of the volunteer ACEs, which basically means that I flit around greeting new researchers like yourself, spelling really badly in the process and helping out wherever I can.

One thing you might want to do is get yourself a more personalised nickname. I know that takes a bit of thinking about, so forgive me if you were just mulling it over But anyway, you can do that by clicking on the button marked "Preferances" and changing the info in the field marked... well... "nickname" I think.

You don't know how sympathetic I am to your problems with technology With me it's watches. Strap a watch to my wrist and I guarentee that within a couple of weeks it will have stopped working. Must be my magnetic personality I'm much worse with houseplants though *thinks guiltily about the rotting brown messes on her windowsill*
