Hello!
Thought I'd stick my head in and see where you're from, but you're not giving much away.
So you have an interest in giants and their causeways then?

I live in Ipswich, but always wanted to see some sort of volcanic landscape. Be nice to see a bit of Donegal too. I found a package in the local paper that I could afford in early summer, hopefully.
Sorry for not giving much away, as with most of my stuff I get rid of it in embarrassment after a while.

Don't worry. Some people put way too much on their space - myself included probably - and you just can't take it in.
Would be fun for you to get over. You'll probably need a few days to get your head round our accent, but watch a few episodes of Cold Feet before you come and get used to James Nesbitt.

Might as well mention I bumped into Ian Paisley once. Literally. Our local MP of the time ('94) was taking our politics A level class around the Houses of Parliament. I went round the floor of both houses, it was a great experience. But in the lobby I turned and ran into this leviathan of a creature. I looked up, there he was. and I'm 6'1"!

He must be taller than I thought. He's retiring in May so it'll be interesting to see what hapens next. did you get to speak or were you too shocked?

I didn't dare, he seemed a little preoccupied... I can usually take NO!!! for an answer.
He might not have been as tall as it felt like he was at the time.

Oh dear. Maybe he was too worried trying to think up ways to yell about more?

Maybe. This was a few years before the GFA after all. I also saw Ken Livingstone getting some post. He was still a serving MP then. He did look very tiny by comparison.

Funny that way people are always smaller or taller than you imagined.
Key: Complain about this post
