You mentioned something about a shipping company, but I didn't remember to grab the leaflet off you when I was in Southampton - I was wondering if you had any recommendations as to shipping so that I can start working out how much it's going to cost me - smiley - ok

smiley - laugh.. it's a pity I don't have a scanner, really. smiley - winkeye

I assembled yesterday all of the books that I couldn't *possibly* live without (including the compact oed and about seven philosophy tomes which are a minimum of three inches thick and hardbacked; one of them's bigger than my oed). They take up a whole bookcase (and therefore a sizable suitcase or crate. smiley - doh

In that case post all of your clothes over before you travel...get one of those vacuum pack things and send the lot...and use your luggage allowance on the flight for bookssmiley - smiley...at least you'll have something to read on the planesmiley - silly

Have you thought about selling a bunch of stuff?...there is always a demand for average tv's bikes mobile phones etc etc and it would give you some cash to replace the bigger things once you get over there... http://www.soton.ac.uk/~smallads/ads/ is always a favourite.
