It's all a lie!!

I havent got round to writing an entry on my own yet, the only reason it looks like I've written loads is because I cant keep my mouth shut. I generally just made a couple of comments on the talking point/collaborative entry on the front page (this weeks is A848649 but I've never been skiing so I won't be included). It's also worth hanging around in Peer Review(<./>PeerReview</.&gt/writing workshop/collaborative writing workshop and comment on any entries that interest you.

I've been planning a couple of entries but never quite got round to writing them (I'm also planning to join the Royal Procrastinators Society one day)...there are so many things going on around here (<./>Askh2g2</.> alone will steal hours of your life away) and the last few months have been quite busy with some fairly serious debates about the future of h2g2 (mainly a few very vocal, articulate researchers getting worked up by the way things are run at the moment...I didn't get involved but it's fascinating to watch).

Sorry to read about your grandpa, I'm glad the funeral was good (when my granddad died a few years ago I ended up with the giggles after speaking without thinking (as we walked into the crematorium I said "Oh well at least it will be nice and warm in the crem" thinking - in comparison to the winters day outside) funerals being funerals it was a case of laughing or crying, and knowing my granddad he would have been laughing.

How are you finding hootoo then? It takes a bit of getting used to, I fell in from yahoo chat and it took me ages to realise that there are hardly any idiots here to entertain me, luckily its much more entertaining talking to people who aren't complete idiots looking for an arguement (I haven't met anyone here who isn't interested in *understanding* the other side of the debate instead of just shouting it down).

It's great to see a writer with such talent. I have a thing with writing (sort of a preference) to where they have to write well for me to like them a lot. Sounds a little wierd, I know.. I think I'll have an essay test on my next date...
