Hi Alji,
interesting name. What is that... welsh? scotch?
as you seem to be online now, I'm asking you instead of Emily: Can you visit somebody else's space, while they're offline? And if so, how?

Just click on the nickname at the top of the posting and you will be whisked off to my page in the blink of an eye (though sometimes it takes longer) and yes you can visit anyones page this way. Look through the threads and click on the names of those people who have interesting things to say.

And to become suspiciously proficient at GuideML really quickly, click on my name and check out my space, which is in it's own little way something of a tutorial in the ways of making your personal space do stuff.

Hi Emmily,
that's exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks for your kind support. Not so very confused anymore,

Hi Hoovooloo ,
yes, I have been able to build that plane, and I have to admit, it was... well, not too bad at flying (at least better than most of the more conventional paper planes I've built - I'm very bad at that kind of thing).
And a nice space you have, too. Inspiring stuff... think I'll examine this GuideML-affair later. Shouldn't be too hard as I'm quite familiar with HTML. Or so I hope.

Hi Bassman,
a bit of a Jaco fan, yes Love "Word of Mouth" particularly... and Teen Town
Heard Richard Bona some weeks ago with the Pat Metheny Group. He played percussion and sang mostly, but they also played a trio version of Bright Size Life (oh, originally that one has Jaco on bass, what a coincidence! ) with Bona on bass and he really blew me away! Wow!!! What a musician, really.

It's a real shame that I have to admit only knowing one Jaco song, but it's a goodie - Birdland.
I was wondering who the Bass player was at the Jubilee concert the other week - turned out to be Pino, I didn't realise he was as rediculously tall as that.

Pino Palladino??? Haven't heard anything about him for about 20 years, I think!
So you're not really into jazz, are you?
Well, Birdland and Teen Town are both on Weather Report's "Heavy Weather", so you might want to check that out...

I'm sure that album featured in the Bassist Magazine top 50 Bass albums, I'll try and look out for a copy.
I saw Mark King about 18 months ago in Cambridge, I was awestruck. Not only is he one of the greatest Bass players to walk the planet, he sings over the top of what he's playing and was a drummer first!!

Mark King? He's still alive, too?
I liked his (first) solo album very much, don't even know the name... er, "The Essential", or was that the title of the first song? I'm not sure.
... was a drummer first - so was Jaco!
So you play bass, too, I guess - what kind of music do you make?
I'm a pianist myself... mostly jazz.

Jazz.... Nice
I'm a bit of a rock monster myself. If you pop across to my space, there's a "Referenced Guide Entry" something about my rise to fame, if you click on that there is a link to my band's web page, which I notice severely needs updating. I'm not too worried about the gig dates being last year's, but the pic on page 2.... my hair is double that length now So long it gets tangled round the strap studs on my Basses

Oh, I see...
I'm playing with a cover band, too, at the moment. For the first time. It's fun, but I don't think it's my cup of tea, really.
