It's just that. Really. The way my physical appearance seems to be in the way of me relating "normally" to the opposite sex. Or rather, the way I can't seem to relate normally to the opposite sex. I suppose I'm attaching too much importance to it, but really, my everyday life is so boring and unfulfilling that interpersonal relations are my only saving grace. I was very excited by this new acquaintance and he seemed to like me a lot. I really didn't think that seeing what I look like would destroy everything.
Better now than later, I suppose, but it's so smiley - bleeping depressing.

smiley - sadface Yeah, I can relate in a way! That interpersonal thing can be such a crapshoot, sometimes, a real roll of the dice!

I suppose he could just be hitting a weird patch and he might be back in a few day (with online acquaintances, you never really know). but what counts here is that he already has that power over me, and I don't want that.

Maybe I'll break it off. I don't know.

Hi Greta, just thought I'd pop in & ask how you're doing?(& let you know I've been making some purchases of Italian origin ~ namely a Bialetti Moka pot & a few packages of Dolce Nouvola snack cakes...ver-ry good!) I had some trouble with my computer & decided to give it a rest (since its summer & I'm out more ~ right now I'm taking a couple hours away from my volunteer duties at our local Fringe theatre festival http://fringetheatreadventures.ca .) I'm also considering using another ISP when I do get my beast up & running .

Oh, also saw/heard an Italian Melodica player at our Folk Music festival http://www.edmontonfolkfest.org earlier this month...Fillippo Gambetta, I believe. A fair variety of the 'folksier sounds'...heard a great guitarist from Mali & a group from Coba among others. Anyway, hope all is going well & the interpersonal thing has levelled out (hopefully for the better ~you deserve it smiley - hug . Ciao!

Jazz! Sorry for not replying earlier, I'm not on Hootoo much these days. Interpersonal relations are hazy at best. I've recently met somebody I really like and thought he liked me back, but last week he came to visit, stayed overnight and slept like a baby. In my bed.

I was dismayed to say the least. He kept in touch afterwards, and today I got mail from him saying he hadn't meant to turn me down, in fact he would've gladly had sex with me, but he likes talking to me too much and was afraid he'd blow it all if he did.

So the bottom line is, I'm everybody's best friend.

It's starting to get on my nerves, frankly speaking smiley - sadface

Love,
G.

I'm not on hootoo too much either these days, so don't worry about it.

Well smiley - hug try not to feel too bad about that instance you mentioned...I mean, its a good thing that he is that comfortable with you. You wouldn't want a guy that has sex first & foremost on his mind, would you? Just give it some time, friendships can improve...hopefully you won't have to wait very long.

Take care ok...wishing you the best,

Ciao *waves*
