The little eyes next to online people's names and the friends list. Also, no convo mod and a 'light' script thingy that helps digibox..plus a few more things..
Oooo What show? TELL ALL !

I think the eyeball thingies are cool.. Friends list? I must investigate! Other two I don't understand..
Show -- a ridiculous show called Bye, Bye bin Laden that's an original piece, badly written and basically a giant fiasco. It's also teh first show I have stage managed. *sigh* Oh well, soon on to bigger and better things. :D
What have you been up to, miss thing? How's the IB deal?

I do too...well I don't understand them all either, hence my freakishly weird explanation
It sounded cool when you explained it to me awhile ago...it just didn't come out right? Is the stage managing going well, despite the play?
I'm in a play now too...Stuart Little...I'm a narrator/techy/stage manager along with like 8 other people. The little kids are so cute! IB is pretty good, a bit scary, really. Lots of work, but I'm starting to get used to it, so I'll most likely get a LOT more soon. *shrug*

Rockin', we can all be confused together in the School!
Stage Managing -- well I learned a lot from it, so it's worth the experience!
Wearing more than one hat on a show is really hard to do, I totally sympathize.

YAY! Hmm that sort of got left behind...*searches through rubble for the school*

Sometimes it's useful for those out of the loop for a month to come back..
Oy. Hon, I wish I could come and help you guys -- actors should not have to do props in addition to blocking, directing notes, and learning lines.. Yeesh!

It's not bad, actually. HAven't got many lines, and we get to do the props on stage..like a boat race. That WAS GREAT!

*giggle*
sounds like you guys are discovering the fun side of backstage.

Well I've done lights, sounds, costumes, blocking, set design and change, flies, wings, etc. Love it all actually.
Yeah, the problem is there's no backstage at all at this theatre. We have to put up flats to hide a door and the like.
We've just been told narrators are the ushers too *giggles*

Pete *not quite dead yet* Posted Nov 24, 2002
Awesome!
Ah.. Sounds like a quite small theatre... You DO have wings, yes?
Ah.. yes, quite small.. Hey, if it works!

No...
It's really just a HUGE black room (actually it's called the 'Black Box Theater') with chairs on risers on two sides facing the center. There's light and sounds systems and the like. There's 3 entrences. 1 from the lobby, 1 from the storage room connected to the lobby and 1 from beside one of the risers. We have flats up in front of the storage room door. That's why props are so hard. They're on stage in 12 black boxes (with the letters 'S,T,U,A,R,T,L,I,T,T,L,E' on them that also are the scenery, and we have to move the boxes into different forms (including spelling Stuart Little or hiding the letters) while supplying the little kids with the props and we haven't even started prop usage yet and our first performance is only like 11 days away.
Well the thing about being ushers is that we get to enter from any part of the entire place to start the play

Ah, Black Boxin' it.. Right on!
That style can cause a lot of problems but it's also easy in other ways.
Um.. Start props, Start props!! Do you guys HAVE props?!!? Sorry.. I'm just thinking about how hard a time my actors had getting props late and most of them are 25...
Hey, if it works, it works..

tis grand. Did line run the other day in 45 minutes for an hour and 1/2 play, so not too bad off. Only one person didn't know their lines and that's the main character, so it's A OK.
Props? Of course we HAVE props. The narrators made them We're sorta sorting them out now...start using them next practice which is the 2nd of Dec.. Hope we can pick them up fast..
Yo!
Pete *not quite dead yet* Posted Nov 30, 2002
it's ok that the main character doesn't know his/her lines?
Ah, good.. Prop search and pull is probably the most hated job at my college, so yah..
Break a leg on that one! I hope you guys get the prop thing down!

Yeah...'tis. She's about 13 and hasn't memorized the entire play yet, though is pretty good.
Really? I props!
I hope we do too!
Yo!
Pete *not quite dead yet* Posted Dec 1, 2002
Ah. *nods in understanding* I suppose if you have the most lines to learn it would be alright if you don't quite have them down.
Really? Want to come work at a college?

Come out here in January then, that's about when they'll need props.. The school might be able to pay you $100 or so... *rolls eyes* Cheapskates.
