Nice to meet you.
Name's Cymbeline..
Someday I am going to go to Scotland.
Every year I go to the ghetto version, the Scottish Highland Games..
It's fun.
Not that that's particularly important..
Anyway, hi!
-Cymbeline, a little

I come from sunny California..
(yeh, one of those weird Americans... )
But as my stepdad has Scottish blood (and proud of it!)
I've always been interested in that sort of thing.

Wish you could send some of your sun across the pond to us. All we ever get is rain, rain and more RAIN !!!!
Its enough to drive you to
As to your stepdad having scottish blood in him - It just goes to prove that once you've got it you never loose it.

California gets almost tooo sunny sometimes though.. Luckily I live in the Northern half of the state and am not saturated by the sun..
Not that I'm a creepy gothic chic or anything.. I'm just a theatre dork and we don't like sunlight that much... As we're always inside when it's up and get out of work after it's already down..
And also.. is such a bad thing to be driven to?
-Cymbeline, who can't even type her alias anymore.. Getting close to sleeptime..

helloha. don't mind me butting in. scotland excellent, fantastic. i'm confused by the different ways people express their actions hereabouts. is there a convention? cymbeline i notice you use < > around your actions, is this a homage to smiley nottation? others seemt o use *s or i saw someone use :: on either side of thiers. is this up to the individual? should i develope my own?
hi!
Pete *not quite dead yet* Posted Jun 11, 2002
Oi EE, nice to meet you..
It's basically a personal and aesthetic decision, people are going to know what you mean either way.. I use because I am used to typing them from smileys.. In my pre H2 days (a whopping 5 days ago ) I used **'s, and in my MUD days (longer ago than I care to think about) I used ::'s.. There's no preapproved H2 method as far as I know, but I've always preferred the **'s because they are easy to reach on the keyboard in conjunction with the key.
And now that you got an extremely long explanation that you weren't really looking for, might I say that it is completely okay that you walk into a conversation.. Welcome to the insanity.
Are you from Scotland too then?

Hi all,
Its me again. "lang mae yer lum reek" is an old scottish way of saying "long may your chimney continue to smoke". Which in turn means may you always be able to provide for yourself. So its really just a friendly saying
And I don't need any excuse to drink although I don't drink as a habit
I just drink as a rule

right on, that's a cool sentiment.

B.C. n' S.T., you mean?
Black-Clad and Steel-Toed. It's sea's and my theatre technician guild. Because we decided it was a tragedy there wasn't one. Soon a site shall be up, I think there is the beginnings of one but I don't know the number offhand. Might look up Black-Clad and Steel-Toed?
Or tomorrow I shall come back and post it for you..
Just having one of those nights, read my journal if you're curious.
Have a v. good night, Flanker..
