2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
It is interesting to hear a bishop of the pope frock religion saying that Jesus wants people to save this planet, when God says quite the opposite, today.
This is ‘global warming’ par excellence! This world, that wicked men wish to preserve, thinking that if they can only save the planet and somehow escape death, they will not have to listen to the owner of the planet.
Almighty God says that it is all going to burn, eventually, and no amount of green weirdos are going to save it. No amount of such foolishness will deflect God.
Now, seeing as God has said that the majority of people burn, and that the planet is going to burn, how is it that someone from pope/frock religion dares call Him a liar? Is Almighty God the liar? Or is a mere unsaved befrocked churchman the liar?

Green weirdos???
Oh Justin. Sometimes you really are funny.
<>
Or is the self-proclaimed 'saved' so-called Christian preacher called Justin the liar?

Justin, you weary me sometimes.
'green weirdoes'? What on earth do you mean? You're not only rude, you're being deliberately controversial just to elicit a response.
Or do you really think we should pollute the world with industrial filth, and cut down trees without thought for the aesthetic and environmental consequences?
Do you recycle?

Jordan ,
But Justin's religion states that the earth was put here for his use and that we are masters of it. A statement that has justified all sorts of environmental abuse, particularly by the Protestant Leaders of Industry in the 19th and 20th centuries.
It is an arrogance that runs through the very core of his monotheistic religion, and one of which we pagans despair.
The earth is sacred as is all life upon it. We toy with her at our peril for if we tip things too far then the next sentient species to 'rule the world' may well be cockroaches or rats.
But that does not matter to Justin for he fully expects to be taken up by the rapture in his lifetime. Anyway why care for a world that will be consumed in fire in a short while?
Shortsighted, stupid, irresponsible and evil are all adjectives that could be applied to people who pursue such a philosophy.
Blessings,
Matholwch /|\.

hi Jordan,
Fair question.
Justin,
Do you recycle? Or do you believe that because the world is about to be engulfed in flames that you are able and right to abuse planet earth as much as you like?
Do you ever give a thought to ecology and how mankind has been destroying so much of the earth's natural wealth and beauty? Or does this not matter to you at all?
Whether you choose to accept it or not, you are actually living on a living planet that daily is being tortured and destroyed. What are your feelings about that? Do you care?
These are honest questions and I hope you will answer them.

Well, since he has already applied the labels 'stupid,' 'blind' and 'weirdoes' to most of Britain, I feel very little guilt in firing them right back at him.
Justin is either too busy to answer, or he is being incredibly rude. I for one am perfectly sick of his refusal to provide straight answers as to why he reels off disgusting insults aimed at people he has never met.
Or perhaps he will do the civil thing and answer one of my questions?

hi Jordan,
I think Justin doesn't answer because he has no answers.
And he knows it.
Of course the polite thing to do would be to say that he didn't have all the answers and so was not able to respond. But Justin is not overly polite. Nor even civil a lot of the time.
In fact, Justin seems to apply the 'Hoovooloo' concept of speaking to people by constantly telling them how stupid they are without offering any other option. He seems to only want to insult people and then tell them he wasn't insulting them at all - that this is The Word of God. Nothing to do with him. ho hum.
At least Hoovooloo provided some intelligence to back up his insulting statements. Though I don't always agree with Hoo's methods he can always back up a statement he has made. Justin cannot back up anything he says. He is just rude and insulting, for reasons best known to himself.

That's precisely my view too. Justin is incredibly rude, quite unlike the 'gentlemen' of the ages he so longs for a return to. A single post is all it would take to redeem himself in that resect, but it seems his social graces are sadly lacking.
And yes, he certainly seems to avoid a straight answer whenever possible, so it is reasonable to assume that he has none.

true enough, Jordan,
And I don't think any of us are being rude or unpleasant. We are just asking Justin for some answers to explain the often ludicrous things he comes out with.
Yet he won't answer.
I wonder why.

I'm not sure which little hamlet Justin abides in (thankfully, not mine) but I wonder why he bothers to plant a garden (as he states in one of his diatribes). Obviously, he would risk the wrath of the Lord for doing so. I guess since he believes hisemlf to me on a direct line to the Lord, it is a case of do as I say and not as I do.

I just read this little gem....
"It is interesting to hear a bishop of the pope frock religion saying that Jesus wants people to save this planet, when God says quite the opposite, today."
I must have missed the memo on this one. You'd think that if god had recently come out with a decision that he wanted people to wreck the planet in order to bring on the "end times" he'd have made it more widely known.
Of course, perhaps this is just another one of Justin's crackpot ideas garnered from "the voices" in his head. Ya think?

hi Mudhooks,
Pope/frock is Justin's term for all Christians who are not the same as he is. You know, the ones that belong to other churches and, ummm, wear frocks? He especially cannot abide Catholics. Well, I have my own personal issue with the Catholic church but I do know quite a few very nice Catholics myself, so I wouldn't like to paint them all with the same Vatican brush.
I also missed the memo about God wanting us to totally ruin our planet. But no doubt this is because I am not one of the saved and so I am not on the memo list.

Justin must own one of the new PNC bibles... you know, the "Pick And Choose" version. Where you pick what supports your theory....

How can 2 Peter 3:10 be literal? After all, it says that heaven will pass away as well.
Does a literal interpretation fit in with the rest of scripture?
Ps. 37:29: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”
Ps. 104:5: "He has founded the earth upon its established places; It will not be made to totter to time indefinite, or forever."

The Bible, while stating that the earth belongs to mankind, by no means condones the mistreating of it.
Genesis 2:15 - "And Jehovah God proceeded to take the man and settle him in the garden of E´den to cultivate it and to take care of it."
Revelation 11:18 - "But ... your own wrath came, and the appointed time ... to bring to ruin those ruining the earth."

That should, of course, read "Pick'N'Choose".....

Of course, you're all probably missing the point - you included Justin. Perhaps God was not referring to global warming at all, but rather to the inevitable engulfing of our world when our star, the sun, expands into a Red Dwarf and bringing an end to the solar system...
As this event lays many millions of years in the future, it still may be worthwhile saving the planet from our own shoddy treatment....
Or, Justin, can you categorically state with absolute certaintiy that this is not what God was saying?
Just curious.
