mmmmm....humbugs....
Have fun?
Receiving a card, or not having sent any?
I still haven't written any out, need to do it NOW becuase I'm going round Grandma's soon

Yeah, I did. Cassie loves me... We were chasing each other round the house, and she was chasing me... Dan never plays with her, it's a shame.
Not having sent any
See? I've got it much easier! Don't have to worry about it!

Who's Cassie?
Well, that's one thing But it would be far too easy... Nah, I have to do the family ones, really. Can't get away with not. Would feel far too guilty.

Dan's dog She's lovely
I get presents, but really can't be bothered with cards... mum doesn't like them anyway, which makes it easier.

Awwwwh
Suppose so
Cards are a mroe realistic alternative for those more obscure relatives who you onle see at Christmas, though. I've got plenty of those. And cards to friends, in my line of thinking anyway, by rights should be filled with silly pictures. Which is half the fun really. Thinking up something stilly in the first place...

I miss having my own dog... But I can play with Bachgen whenever I want, pretty much, and he comes to stay with us every so often
Yeah, cards are a good middle- alternative to get for someone you really ought to get something, but don't see often enough to warrant present- giving.

That's kind of all the best parts of having a pet without worrying too much about vet's bills I guess. Quite that he stays over
I tend to start missing my cats if I haven't been to my dad's in a while. Even though at the moment Ziggy's the only one who wants to talk to me
Definitely
Shame about all that paper waste at the end of it, though.

He tends to stay if my grandparents go away for a couple of days- visiting my aunt etc
Awwwwww.... If I was a pussy cat, /I'd/ want to talk to you.
That's another reason why I don't (and it sounds better than "I'm a miserable old git")

Awwwh... It's better for them than the kennels, too.
Nah... if you were a pussy cat you'd much prefer to [a] laze about by a radiator or [b] kill stuff. That's what the other two prefer to do, anyway
What's wrong wtih being a misterable old git?
We get recycling-y box things. For newspapers and stuff But I think it is forgotten about it this household. At my Dad's, however, my step-mum will recycle just about anything that doesn't try and run away from her.
Contractual Obligation
TeaKay Posted Dec 29, 2004
And cheaper
I wouldn't mind lazing by the radiator talking to you. That'd be a good compromise
Nothing ever goes your way and no one likes you. Tends to be a drag.
We get those too. It's started quite recently. No one recycles round here... people just chuck their junk wherever.

Well, there is that...
I'd say that's a fair compromise indeed.. As long as you're not a radiator hog, and let me steal some of the warmth too
But is that a cause or a symptom? I mean, if everything went your way and everybody loved you, you wouldn't be a miserable old git. But what came first? [yes, yes...make as many "chicken and egg" jokes as you wish...]
Gah, I know. In fact, it's so bad round here that when I picked up a bit of rubbish that accidentally fell out of my hadbag a random bloke gave me a hearty "well done". I looked at him like he was crazy. But I'm rather coming to understand his exuberance.

You'd have all the warmth you needed, and you could pass on anything you wanted to me via the power of hug.
Chicken and egg.... 's no joke...
lol, I just wouldn't be able to leave a bit of rubbish that fell out of my handbag (considering I had one) without feeling overwhelmingly guilty...
I'd be exuberent in your presence, so I can understand him

...which of course, depends entirely on how the enemy of "obsenely huge personal space" on my part decides to behave
I live with a feeling of guilt. Just in general.
Not the common ethos, m'dear.

Aw
Does it need to be? As long as the people who count are exhubed () around you, what does it matter what the common ethos is?

1982, sweetpea... O.k, so then it doesn't work with the book, but it was a far more important year...

That's what I had meant to put I think I must be in desperate need of doing some maths again Perhaps I was subconsiously allowing you time to have developed decent speaking ability? The book hadn't ever occured to me, but it must have been why the date seemed familiar
