Hi Karen
I've been given this super entry to subedit at A810136.
I've modified the title slightly. I've called the child 'she' rather than 'them', etc. And done a few other tweaks.
This is not necessarily the final version, and I'd be glad to have your comments on this draft.

Oooohhh!! I go away for a week and all sorts of things start to happen
Just had a read through and looks fab to me... the only thing I thought read a little odd was the "They end up at the end of a meal wearing most of it - and extremely frustrated and more often than not still hungry!" line... it might scan a little better as "They end up at the end of a meal wearing most of it - are extremely frustrated and more often than not still hungry!"
But apart from that I can't see anything. I'm just beaming at the thought of getting an entry edited and into the guide!
Karen

OK, I'll alter that slightly.
It's an excellent entry, I've really enjoyed working on it, and look forward to seeing it on the Front Page before too long!

There, that should be ok.
One thing that puzzled me - since you are concerned about salt, sugar and additives why suggest sausages? I left it in, because it's your entry, but personally I wouldn't give them at that age.

Good question,
My mum used to work in a butchers and one of her jobs was making the sausages so we always knew exactly what went into them... nothing like a fresh Lincolnshire butchers sausage... yummy! Anyway, I digress, they didn't put much salt in them in comparison to prepackaged ones you can get from the shop and I'd restrict them to the "occassional" list... I'm a bit of a fan of everything in moderation, except chocolate which is a main food group for me LOL
I'm not one to tell people what they can and can't give their own kids.... just after a local baby died from having far too much salt in her diet at a very early age I'd like people to be aware that not everything we eat is suitable for the tiny tots. It's all about being aware of the hidden salt and sugars in things and then taking a sensible stance to ensure you don't over do it.
Pleased you've enjoyed working on this one... I enjoyed writing it because it's something I didn't have to think about too much. Especially with my three, oldest is 3 1/2 and youngest 4 months, so I still remembered most of the details. Anyway off to make up another batch of carrot and potato hair gel, I mean puree for the tiny one here
