Just thought I'd pop in and say hi 
Enid Blyton - I know *exactly* what you mean - for years I wanted to go to boarding school...and this year I'm living at Halls of Residences at uni, which is pretty much the same thing 
(without the quaint English countryside or the midnight feasts, of course...)
Glad to see someone else had the same delusions as I did!
