Enjoying visiting with my dad (PC)

So, after all the hard stuff is over, my dad and I have been hanging out (with K and my uncle some of the time, too).
Yesterday we went down to Oak Park, a suburb on the western city limit, and had some lunch and visited a few shops my dad doesn't have at home. We went to Penzey's spices and I got a bit carried away- cleaned out some older stuff from my spice cabinet and replaced those, as well as picking up a couple things I can never find. I got savory and chervil, neither of which I've ever tried, but sound nice for summery vegetable stuff. Got ground white pepper, coriander seed (whole and ground), whole allspice, ginger powder, and nutmeg. Found charnushka (nigella seeds) and vanilla sugar, which I'd wanted based on recommendations and recipe ideas from you lot. Also a spice blend- I normally don't do those, except curry powder, but this one sounded so nice. It's a blend of salt, shallot, chive, garlic, onion and green peppercorns.
We had lunch, then went back to my uncle's house and had a long walk around town. K joined us after he got off work and we went out for dinner. I came home with a bunch of books, too.
We've all done a fair bit of spontaneous blubbering, too.
Today they're meeting a cousin for lunch and I think they may drag me along...

If they drag you along, I hope it's on a skateboard or something - otherwise you'll get all dirty and scratched.
The spice store sounds like tremendous fun.
And yes, the odd bit of spontaneous blubbering is Perfectly Normal in the circumstances.

Ooh! a
I drank so much coffee at lunch yesterday, I could have run behind the car and pushed it back home.
Ivan, it's funny you pointed the "dragging" thing out. My dad, uncle and I shared an anecdote from when I was a little girl- just one of those memories about how my gram was. She'd let my little sister and me go to the park, and told us to come back when the sun started setting. Well, I returned at the predesignated time, but without my sister (D). Gram told me to go back and "drag her back, if you have to". So I did. Knocked her right down and pulled her home by her pigtails. She had scuff marks all summer. No one strapped me though, because I was just doing what I was told. I was always such a literalist. My gram found that one amusing, long after the incident.

That Who exhibit was pretty comprehensive. They had K-9!! (I love K-9!)

He really should have got a photo of the Walrus's penis bone, though.

It's funny, the ones to the left and right at the front are natural stone objects. The back one is the walrus penis bone, the toothpick in the centre the weasel's one.

The Who exhibit wasn't all that, particularly if you liked it before its return in recent times. There's no representation of series past, except for the inclusion of K9.

Nice photo! How much does it cost to park a ?
Still, even if there was nothing about the original series, the exhibit seemed to include a lot of artifacts from its current incarnation.
Interesting penis bone exhibit, too.

Yeah, but it comes back up half an hour later, just as hot as it went down, but soaked in acid with a foreign body in it.
Best I could do.

Cappuccino never made me barf, but I haven't had it in years. I'm more of an espresso girl myself.
