Below freezing here, too, again, which is a Bad Thing. The Sistabarista just called on the way back from her class trip - skiing in the Austrian Alps - and she's managed to tear a ligament. Getting around on crutches when it's this icy won't be fun! smiley - groan

What're you playing, PC?

Never heard of either game, I'm afraid smiley - laugh

We were all joking about how she'd not break a bone, so it had to happen! (She has very dense bones, from her father's side of the family. She's totally off the charts for weight - should be really obese - but she's a normal, slim teenager. Nobody on that side of her family has ever broken a bone. smiley - laugh)

Is she accident prone, like me? Sometimes I think I should get a stunt double.

smiley - laugh Not particularly. We have our other sister for that. smiley - winkeye

A stunt double might be a good idea for you, though! You do seem to hurt yourself an awful lot smiley - cheerup

I should have a stunt double too. I dislocated a toe trying to answer the phone, broke an ankle carrying a bottle up a flight of two stairs and sprained a wrist folding socks. No wonder I keep physical activity to a minimum these days.

I'm a stunt man!

Youtube search tabletrash (one word) and pick the second video down, the bad reaction to carrot.

I am available for funerals and weddings.

A stunt double at my funeral! Now there's an idea! And then my great-grandchildren open the will to find a note that reads "Just kidding! I'm enjoying myself with a cabana boy in the Bahamas!"

Sorry Mala, I have no way of explaining the wrist sprain/sock fold incident. It just happened, like so many things in life. *sigh* Goodness it was embarrassing.

s'fair enough when my big sis was about 6 or 7 she broke her ring finger (I think) catching a balloon.

I was more adventurous - I broke my lower left leg in 3 places climbing our sideboard at home. But I didn't tell my parents until about 6 months later (by accident I might add) and, as I found out years later, caused my parents to be visited several times by social workers since they couldn't explain to the Doc how I had done it! Ah, the heartache we cause our parents without thinking!

I broke an ankle falling down stairs with a cup of beer, at a party, once, in my early twenties. What really impressed the other partygoers was that I fell down the entire flight of stairs, broke my ankle, but didn't spill my beer. smiley - laugh

Gosh, Ictoan! smiley - yikes

And poor minismiley - mouse. I hope your wrist heals quickly, and that the pain will subside.

Goodness, do other people's accident stories amuse me. Maybe because I'm such a klutz. Ictoan wasn't subscribed to my journal yet last February when I caught the leg of my pajamas on the heat/aircon register in the hallway floor, tripped, fell face first on the floor. Broke my nose, had two stitches, and "repaired" a previously deviated septum. K freaked out at the cracking sound and the blood splatters everywhere, called 911, and had our place filled with paramedics and firemen (City of Chicago dispatches a fire engine when an ambulance is dispatched) at around 3 AM. My primary concern was all those boots on my floors. smiley - laugh

"I broke an ankle falling down stairs with a cup of beer"
I had a friend who did similar! Only it was a pint, not a cup smiley - winkeye
He slid all the way down the stairs and didn't spill a drop!

Me? I can spill beer whilst pouring it, I hate to think of the amount I've wasted over the years smiley - smiley

It was more embarrassing than anything, once I got over the initial shock. And all of the times I was asked if poor K had hit me. Anyone who's met him would know he wouldn't hit anyone.

No idea how I managed not to spill that particular beer, because nowadays I have to coordinate my clothing with my meals. I can't get *anything* in my mouth without wearing some of it. Beverages included! I stick to water or tea at work, after a nasty accident involving a mug of coffee, a door, and a white blouse.
