Oh, and they gave us these DVDs:
Latitude Zero (I love it!)
Bizarre
Electric Dragon 80,000 V
Raw Meat
Bone
Super Inframan
Laserblast
Abducted by the Daleks (apparently this is soft sci-fi porn?)

PC someone definitely loves you enough to record it in around 5.5 hours when it comes on...
We'll be recording Wallace and Grommit too - if it fits on the DVD do you want that also?
So we're in the throes of Christmas - we tracked Santa with NORAD, left him a mince-pie and whiskey and some carrots for the reindeer... this morning there has been decorus present opening. And I have a new so I'm off to read it

well, I'm currently reading 2 of them - but right now I'm helping Gruesome #1 load up her new mp3 player
Not that I'm influencing her musical choice decisions - but we're currently fighting over His Bobness. She says no. I might sneak him on there anyway.

K gave me a hanging thing of satin elephants with beads and a bell on it, a tea light/ fountain thingy with tikis on it, and a book.
Last night was fun, and there aren't heaps of leftovers, phew.
Sho, if Wallace & Gromit fits I would love that, too, yes. Thank you SO much!!

I thought I had shaken that! Ok well, a two-parter. If you look at their menu it really seems interesting, so I'm really looking forward to sampling a few items!
Now for something I haven't been missing,-related but no surprise there huh. I've been making fairly frequent visits to The Cocoa Room, one of(if not The)city's premier shops- http://www.kerstinschocolates.com I've had some lengthly conversations with both Kerstin & hubby/business partner Cyrus. And attended both a dark tasting & a seasonal open house they had to showcase Christmas products. Another customer wrote a great review/blog posting of one of the tastings(not the one I attended), it's at http://loosenyourbelt.blogspot.com/2008/12/cocoa-room-evening-full-of-tasty.html Soumds accurate!

Dalek porn?!!! What do they do with their plungers?
Dalek is my chosen fancy dress costume. It consists of a sink plunger in one hand and a bent coat hanger in the other.

Thanks for those reviews, jaz'd! Everything sounds good.
Ed, once we've watched the Dalek pron, you'll be the first to know what they do with their plungers. I'm more than a little intrigued myself.

Ugh- why do I still type "porn" as "pron" all the time?

Oh for crying out loud- what a waste of paper. Blogs aren't bad enough sucking up internet bandwidth, now they're going to waste the resources to *print* them? Heck, I read internet news when possible to *avoid* the waste involved in picking up two newspapers a day (I'm down to the weekly Reader and the Onion, in print).

That was kind of my reaction...I've never found what I'd consider 'vital, need-to-know' information in a blog. I'm all for the enterpreneurial venture, but yes this Is really a waste of paper! At best he'll have a very niche market, I suspect...,much like the 'gossip rags'.

Blogs are useful for keeping an eye on the webcomic scene. Don't use them much otherwise - the only ones I read regularly are ikeahacker (because I contribute things sometimes) and a few livejournal accounts people use for publishing comics.
Most notably HollyComics, by a Dutch girl. It involves not only Harry Potter but also Batman and ancient Roman gladiators. In space.

I rarely look at any blogs. We're not allowed access to social networking sites at the office, and I don't have the time to check every day from home, so I don't really follow any. A few friends maintain blogs for which I subscribe to feeds, and I catch up when I can. But I really don't read anything else in the blogosphere other than a couple of cooking blogs.
HollyComics sounds cool, but I'd never find the time to keep up with it.

It's here in case you do want to take a look: http://hollycomics.livejournal.com/ They're pretty random, but starting at the beginning might still be helpful - especially since she has four different comics at once with numerous crossovers.
She just finished an episode involving Snape in the Sound of Music

The Spelt cinnamon buns are great & I've had a Very nice-Spelt-chili pepper & brie tart(almost like a mini-quiche).
I haven't tried, though I may have to(it sounds very good) -
