So, I did a crap load of work on Friday afternoon and need to run a ginormous report this morning. I got in a bit earlier than normal to get a head start- about three hours ago. Some server maintenance occurred over the weekend, and now I can't access the system at all. smiley - rolleyes

It's always annoying when that happens.

But here's the most annoying thing yet, and the sort of thing that pisses me off something fierce and has set the tone for the whole day.

Apparently, the co-worker who annoys me but who I don't totally hate, so I'm still reasonably nice to him, decided to use my office to change his clothes after work on Friday. I don't actually mind that- I don't lock up when I leave because I have some files and forms and other goodies that I share with various people, and have told everyone to help themselves.

But what I do mind is when someone leaves their dirty clothes sitting on my desk all weekend and I have to move them out of the way to use my computer. smiley - yuk I don't even like touching my own dirty clothes much- it's one of my "things". This is the most disgusting and annoying things EVER.

Wow, that's pretty gopping, even by my standards. Sorry PC. Similarly icky thing transpired here just now, but I can't say here.

Our charlady at work isn't exactlly bothered by hygiene.
The other month I found the hand brush and *shovel in the rack on the kitchen sink. I guess we can feel lucky that she didn't put it in the cupboard. When I pointed out that she cleans the shop floors with them and we put our washed plates and stuff in the rack, she merely said she had just cleaned the brush and shovel. smiley - yuk

Not too long ago, I found those very items very neatly placed in our bun basket on the kitchen table. smiley - ill

I now make sure that I never put any buns into this basket without putting a paper napkin first.

What's wrong with people?

My husband said I was just hysteric when I told him.
And I'm not somebody who spends the whole day cleaning the flat, but I wouldn't put those items anywhere near food.

I'm the sort of person who cleans the cleaning stuff, so I'd be hysterical for sure.

People are forever leaving used tea bags, dirty dishes, etc, all over the kitchen counters here, but this is the first time my desk had been used as a laundry hamper.

Hopefully more of you can share personal smiley - yuk experiences so I won't feel so bad. smiley - winkeye

Oh, used hankies on the dining table. Make my stomach turn for sure.

On Saturday I shouted at my sister for putting a sealed bag containing used nappies/diapers on my kitchen top. Even though the bags were one step short of being hermetically sealed and everything had been disinfected, it really annoyed me.

I'm not an overly clean person (I only brought out the hoover for the first time this month on Saturday) but anything to do with the areas I prepare dinner freaks me out.

Me, too. The kitchen table, counters, etc. I've always had cats, but I've never been one for letting them walk around on food prep or dining areas.

As for dirty diapers, I probably wouldn't care how many hermetically sealed bags it was in, I wouldn't want poo in my kitchen.

Used hankies on the table would gross me out, too. I'll admit I've occasionally had no choice but to wipe or blow my nose at the table, but I always put the used hankie or napkin in my purse or pocket afterward. At home, K sets his used hankies aside rather than sticking them in the clothes hamper and then he drops them in with the whites once the washer's been loaded.

With K being the only exception at this juncture (and my family/sister, given no other choice in the past), handling someone else's dirty clothes is not a level of intimacy I want with people.

Sho - employed again!

That's disgusting PC - did you put them in the bin? I would have.

People at work are totally gopping (gawd, that's a blast from my Army past!) and disgusting. I regularly clear our fridge out of stinky, mouldi Kimchi (and can you imagine how long that stuff takes to go off?) and things - everything, including the tupperware container goes in the bin. I give about 4 hours warning and then it's all out.

Currently our fridge smells of meths. I don't know what from, but it was ok as long as my salad was in it's tupperware. But the otherday I took a sandwich, and someone moved it, in it's box - that was ok, but when they put it somewhere they managed to open the lid. Mmmmm meths flavoured sandwich for lunch smiley - ill

Hmmm, I went down to the toilet (the bathrooms were in the basement where I lived before) to find my housemates and their friends (all men) having a pissing contest with my riding boots for their targets...

I'd meant to put them in the bin, Sho, but I didn't. I did get stroppy enough to fling them across the room onto the floor.

But Mala's boots... that's the most digusting thing ever.

People can be such shits!

I did put *those* in the bin. Fortunately, they were only an old rubber pair.

My leather boots (expensive and just broken in!) they stole and pawned for drug money.

That's about when I moved out. smiley - zen

Lousy roommates are the pits. I thought I'd picked some real winners, but yours reached the absolute depths of lowness. I'm glad you're not living with people like that any more. smiley - hug

People at my work leave things in the fridges to die, too, but I have someone else to throw stuff out and then I ask the building management to have housekeeping wash the insides. Same with the microwave ovens. People are so nasty sometimes, you wonder how they must live at home. smiley - yuk

Fortunately (?) I come from a very messy home, so these things usually don't affect me so much smiley - laugh

It's going to be a better couple of days now.

Today's a company outing which I won't be attending. Everyone's clearing around between 11 and noon, and I expect I'll be out of here by 2:30. Tomorrow my boss is out, so that means a quiet morning and potentially leaving around 2:30 or 3 as well.

Meanwhile, I've just been avoiding all dealings with the laundry leaver. I've responded politely when spoken to, and stuff like that, but haven't gone out of my way to be as friendly as normal.

K's stuck working this Saturday, as his company has their semi-annual inventory going on again. So no big social engagements this weekend- just trips to the post office and the grocery store.
