Hi PC, I know I haven't been on much lately. I feel kind of like I am drifting away from hootoo a bit, and from some of my friends here, yourself included. I hope I haven't done anything to offend or alienate you and make that distance wider.
Things I've been up to: Still getting poked with acupuncture needles. Seems to be helping, I've had two periods in a row. My Mom is on a new medication for Alzheimer's, and it is helping tremendously, we are all very relieved. Saw the new Star Wars and enjoyed it, though not as much as the first two originals. Yes, I know there is no chance of you or Ed seeing it, LOL. I've been working on a portrait of two little girls, and it is going pretty well except for the eyes, the trickiest part.
I am thrilled that things are going well for you on the home front, and hope that the work front follows suit soon.
JEllen

Hi JEllen, you haven't offended or alienated me at all. I think about you a lot, but I know that between stuff with your mom, painting, and other social stuff, you've been keeping busy and haven't had as much time online. I don't have as much online time, either, and once I leave this job, I'll have even less. So in addition to the drifting I've already been feeling, I'm going to need to wean myself off of h2g2 a bit, too.
It's been especially frustrating lately, I've been having a hard time keeping in touch with Terri because I can't read any more about her continually trying to make a relationship work with that Viking guy. He's clearly selfish, manipulative, and doesn't care about her. I wish she'd steer clear of him, but I can't keep telling her that or she'll wind up angry with me. I mean, when I was dealing with my own selfish, manipulative, terminally spoiled sociopath, Terri even felt sorry for *him*!
Anyway, yeah, things are going well on the home front, and I'm sure the work front will be sorted soon enough. Glad to hear the acupuncture is helping, and that your mom's meds are helping too! That is a HUGE relief!
Take care and keep me posted, by email if not on h2.

How're you doing down there, kiddo? I kinda miss you. Especially today, I've been thinking of you ever since I read in the paper that Leo was conked on the head with a bottle.

I'm doing really well at the moment -- I am almost finished with my portrait of the twin girls, and I am excited about it. Have sent an invite to webshots album so you can see it.
This past weekend was a happy/sad one because our minister, a lovely lady, is retiring. We had a huge dinner for her, and several ladies from our church gave her a most beautiful quilt they had made.
I have been seeing a lot of movies, including Cinderella Man and Batman Begins, which I both thought were terrific!
Yeh, can you believe that bleeping woman that threw a bottle at Leo! He needed 12 stitches! Well, at least it was a bottle and not a gun. *sigh*

I'll check Webshots when I get home (I can't access my Comcast email from work because my computer doesn't allow Java scripting). Can't wait to see the portrait!!
Bummer about your minister retiring, although good for her! Hopefully she'll have a happy retirement and your church will find another wonderful minister. And I'm sure she'll still be an active part of the congregation.
Haven't seen any movies in the theater, but we've seen plenty of Netflix! We've still for 288 in queue, though!
Other than my crappy work situation and having the WORST bronchitis I've ever had, things are good for me, too. K and I are settling in nicely together, mornings I make coffee and breakfast, which is a nice new routine for both of us! And evenings are filled with Netflix, Scrabble and Boggle, and lots of music. Herman seems to have settled in nicely, too. He's a sweet , once I get my mitts on a digital camera, I'll share photos of the apartment, Herman, on my Snapfish account so all my h2 friends can see.
Well, better get some "work" done. Talk soon!!

me here!, your last statement on "eye say", I agree with, that's why, I'm out of it. Advice is ok, if listened to, but over there, nothing is changing, well! then again, it is-for the worse, so for the last few month's I only pop in now and again, to say I'm here if needed, rest of time, just sit and watchread

Yes, Aminal, I think I will need to stay out of it now, too. At least for a while.
Can't keep giving the same advice over and over and watching someone I care for explain it away. But like you, I will be there when needed and otherwise shall wait and watch and read quietly and respond to everything else but that particular situation.
Thanks for coming by and saying hello! I've missed seeing you as much as before, glad you're back and doing okay.

Hey there, JEllen. Just dropping a note to say hello and that I really enjoyed our AIM chat on Friday. We were long overdue.
Hope you're doing all right, and that your family members are as well. I can't begin to fathom how awful this has been for them. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Meanwhile, I should be around this Friday night, if the guys have band practice. I'll pop on AIM and see if you're available for a chat then. K sends his best, as well. Talk soon!

Hi cherie,
Saw Kung Fu Hustle, it was a blast! Will post more about it on the DVD thread.
Watched Titanic again, love seeing "my guy" in it. I figure if I can't shake the blues, why not watch a tearjerker, eh?
No word on the relatives beyond the fact that they are getting settled into an apartment in Baton Rouge.
