Hello there!
Since your entry on Talleyrand turned up in Flea Market, I've volunteered to take it on and try to get it into the EG. The new version is here:

If you ever do make it back to h2g2, please get in touch

Hi there, I'm back!
(Been busy with all kinds of stuff over the last few years, notably completing an MA in Medieval Studies).
The current version looks good to me. All the best with it, and if you've any questions, please don't hesitiate to ask!

Wow - hello there
Tell the truth, I've been sitting on it ever since posting here. Really, I've barely touched it. If you want to take it back, then please do (if you've come back with any burning desire to pick up Entry-writing again).

I would take it back, but I really can't think of much to add to it. It was a long time ago. (When I wrote it, I mean, not when Talleyrand lived, although that was also a long time ago.) Still, I'll give it another look, but I'm really not sure what needs to be done.
It's good to be back. I feel comfortable here.

Oh well, if you think it's done, even more reason you should have it back Because, basically, I agree - it's the reason I picked it out of Flea Market, because it looked more or less complete.
The only thing I was going to change was the use of the present tense at the start, which seemed slightly awkward. The only thing that occurred to me after that was, because it was no longer part of a University Project which would have filled in the context, some of that context might need more explanation in the Entry itself. But you'd get people telling you that in Peer Review anyway (if, indeed, it is necessary).
And the reason I've been sitting on it ... the same set of reasons: I'd actually feel quite bad taking any credit for what is, at heart, a better Entry already than a fair few coming through Peer Review as I write.
So - there you go

Background stuff that would have been explained elsewhere in the University -- true. I didn't think of that. I'll have a proper look at it late next week (I've got two job interviews early next week, one in Durham and one in Swansea -- and I live in Dover), and see what background could usefully be added.
Cheers!

Okay, didn't get either (these fools don't know a good deal when they see it. Grrr...), but I did get a stinking great cold. It now appears to have passed, and I'll get onto things next week.
Must write an article about the irrational nature of job interviews...
