I did live near Butts Bridge up to around 1980 and i have worked a while as a cleaner in the kitchens of a large garden centre near the greyhound..think i will have more than a couple of vodkas
before the day is out especially with the grand opening of the tea shop today..if you look on my space (click on my name) you will
find on the conversation list a conversation `POINTER` which if you read it you will realise why the nerves and how the t shop came about.. i will be trying my best though to keep a low profile for tomorrow/today .. Marc

hi marc not read the bit bout school babes.... i remember the bridge going over twist lane which was the old train line, now atherleigh bypass..... when i was a nipper it always flooded under the bridge.... i remember the pit coz grandad worked there....

naaaa i don`t mean the one that went under the lines i meant the one that went over the line at the end of walmesley road the old wooden step bridge..you should nip up here some time we could always have a walk round and discus what used to be where..and
