GOOD POINT BIGGY

I. In WWI my grandfathers were on the opposite sides.
II WWII oh yeah
III Korea. US involvement
IV Nam. as above

Well sir if you, like me, sometimes wonder what the hell all this scrapping was about then I believe I may offer you an answer.
It's about us doing this, us brother seeking existence in free dignity. It ain't about individuals, it's about principals.
Personally I'm just not a fence sitter.

Anybody Else for or against please come back.

Bob, the only reason I singled out Germany there was because my use of German language and cultural references was what got censored. I realised it was badly worded and tried to cancel the post and re-word, but I didn't get there in time. Hence the two posts with slightly different wording.

And, Oetzi, sorry mate, but I'm really having difficulty following your arguments, let alone their relevance here. I know enough history to know what the wars were about, why they were fought, and the consequences and benefits we now live with, thanks. I just don't see how that is anything to do with this...?????

Yes I'm talking from an unusual point of view and I accept your crit without argument.

To be blunt any sort of restraint on freedom sets me on full throttle.
The office did exactly the right thing. Can't have the freedom if you don't have the rules. It all depends how you want to describe "good" or "bad", right and wrong, rich and poor etc etc.

As far as IT is concerned its like learning to ride a bike, keep falling off.

I have no problem with rules, laws or even restrictions on freedom where they are justified and reasonable. I DO have a problem with those who blindly follow the letter of the law, unwilling to apply SENSE and DISCRETION.

As I said earlier, it may be that the person who censored my name is not in the position to apply his/her discretion, in which case they have my sympathies, but there are a lot of people out there who CAN and WON'T. This can be either because they don't understand the rules (in which case how do they follow them?), or because they don't want to take responsibility for exercising their discretion and making a decision outwith the boundries. That gets me smiley - grr

Yes I'm locked on your vibes..spot on.

Most folks run scared at responsibility. Most are driven by greed, sex and ego. That's the purpose of positive management and good coms.
But the whole lot collapses if trust is lost. They have not managed this situation properly through bad comms.

A few years ago I decided my integrity was not for sale, but the downsides can be pretty steep.

What happened here was exactly what I would have expected. Personally I ain't too keen on H Sapiens prefer K9s
