The rainforrest was a particular favorite.

. I got your mail too - it's nice to know people actually look at the stuff, especially at the moment as I'm trying to paint something new and it's just not happening....
The colours are mostly acrylics, but because I don't paint from life I get to just make them up. I looked at a book on painting once and discovered I was breaking every rule in the book. Oh well.
Rainforest was a difficult one - I was really trying to get the depth so you didn't see the bulldozer at first. The whole point was that you saw the animals, saw that they were upset, and then saw why. I think I got the hang of depth in the Gargoyles one, which is probably my favourite.

The bulldoser was done well too, in the background like a bad dream forming. I have made a remarkably similar drawing, it really tickled me in that way - no bulldoser of course.
Aww I would not worry about breaking the rules. All truly creative types do
There is a link to an activist-artist-cartoonist on my page under how come. I have it there because they are political cartoons that the artist are being jailed for their work

I'm unlikely to be jailed for my work. COMMITTED, possibly, but probably not jailed . The problem I have with political cartoons is that I don't know enough about current affairs to get it right, but I admire people who are able to make such a statement through their work.
I'm a media hermit - I don't watch TV or read newspapers - I believe that the negative media is actually contributing to the problems of the world, so I choose not to be part of it. I'm as out of touch as it is possible to be. And I like it
