i've just got back to H2G2 after about a year, feeling a bit out of it, especially as was here before the whole BBC takeover.... thought i'd get back to life and start saying hi to peops...

australia for 9 months, New Zealand for 2
then france and europe for 3....
hows life on H2G2?
I'm back in Berkhamsted now...and like a pratt started work 4 days after i got back...all that freedom but after a day in the office it feels like i never left...

Wow - I've only ever managed a long weekend in Australia, but would love to go back - it's a fabulous place. New Zealand is also on the agenda for some point.
I write up my travels on my website, and sometimes in the h2g2 post - I'm writing up a recent trip to New Orleans at the mo - watch this space!

hows everyone generally at h2g2 we were nearing a revolution just before i left...things better?
to be honest i'm a bit scared about starting all this again, i really missed the people that left on the mass walk out. its hard when you were really involved in something and then you weren't you get scared about getting involved again...

Well, I've only been around for about 9 months or so - I guess I missed the 'revolution'.
It seems to tick along quite nicely. You do occasionally come across someone complaining that it's not as 'edgy' as it used to be, but then it's Auntie Beeb in charge now, not late night channel 5. I don't know what it was like before, but I still have fun round here

I'm probably not the most involved user on hootoo to be honest.
"The Snug" is pretty silly and surreal. The post still has some fun stuff in it from time to time, and I keep in on the music threads coz I'm a music geek. Apart from that I keep in touch with friends I knew before, and a few I've met at meets and stuff.
You can jump to all of those from my personal page. I'm not sure that's really what you want, but.....
