h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi, I saw on one of your posts that you work on a stage crew. I'm the Stage Manager for my schools drama society. What plays have you done? Congrats on coming out, scary but done now.

I build the sets and crew for my school. I am in SOCSA the Southern Orange County School of the Arts. We are starting Les Miserables in a few weeks. I am crewing for the show at the local community collage over the summer. The pay is only $800 bucks for the whole summer, but I get a collage credit out of it so it's cool with me.

P.S. I haven't come out to anyone yet. I can only make long distance call on weekends so I'll call C this weekend. If it goes wll I'll tell A next week.

Wow that's a lot. Apart from my school stage work I helped set up a community drama company giving my technical expertise. I live in a really poor inner city area so it was a lot of hard work, trying stuff with non-existent funding. Then in November we did our main school play - Fame and the drama society started their first production at the same time. It was horrific because a lot of time I had 30 mins to cycle between places 5 miles apart. I have now reduced my school stuff because I couldn't cope with both

Yeah it sucks. We do three musicals a year plus three straight plays plus two dance concerts plus anything else the scholl wants to put on. Sometimes during musicals I am at school from eight in the morning to eleven at night. Then I have to do homework.

Ok that's a scary amount. How did telling your friend go?

I couldn't get ahold of him. Apparently he is at his grandmothers funeral in Iowa.

Should I try someone else oe waut till next week?

I'd wait, this Ryan guy seems the right guy to tell and telling someone else just because it's quicker could be disasterous. Trust me on this, here speaketh the voice of experience

Did you try again this weekend? I f so how did it go?

I talked to him for about an hour but my Mom was in the other room so I didn't say anything. But I'll call him at about 4 when he gats home from school and tell him because my Mom dosn't get home untill 5:30.

He had soccer practice and he's at the rehersal for Pride and Prejiduce tonight. I'll call him tomorrow
