Hi it’s me again. Just wanted to say thanks for all your guidance while I was adapting to the world of h2g2. I’ve recently found my way to the bbc’s get writing site, “get writing”, which is where I have been spending much of my online time over the last few days. I feel it to be a bit more acclimated to my activities, which is not to say I have abandoned the guide. Far from it. When ever I need a brake from the often overly serious tone people there have I seek respite in the light hearted humor
and fun loving insanity
the guide has to offer. I am also currently working on an outline for a submission to the edited guide about Bill Hicks, one of my favorite stand-up comedians. If you have any advice that may be of use for a first timer, I would once again be vary grateful for your help.

as soon as you submit your guide entry it will go to "peer Review" they will comment on your work maybe tell you how to improve it, if you've made any errors etc, etc. sounds scarier than it is.

Years of writing poetry has allowed me to become fairly comfortable with critical feed back so I’m not too worried about that. I never take criticism personally. It’s about improving the piece, not attacking the writer, however abrasive the criticism may be.

Do you think it would be a good idea to submit the outline to see if any one has any suggestions on what to include before I write a rough draft, or should I just submit the draft once it’s finished?
