Hope you're not finding me a pain in the butt about your Spanish Customs entry. I don't normally participate on the Peer Review stuff, but as I've lived in Spain for 15 years I just thought I might help out a bit in this instance.
It looks like quite a good Guide entry and I've sometimes thought I should have written one myself about Andalucia.
In any case, I hope you haven't taken my comments as negative criticism - I'm really just trying to give you a bit more information that might help your entry be a bit more factual and informative.
And I still don't think Flamenco can be considered a 'custom'. Perhaps you'd be interested in writing a separate entry about Flamenco, giving it more time and research. It's definitely something worth writing about.

It ok azahar, I never thought you were being a pain at all. I have been trying to get information from my grandmother who is Spanish (you can read a little about her in this entry A12927918. Trouble with that is she goes off on a tangent in Spanish and I end up catching and understanding every fifth word out of twently so I have found your input very useful.
I have changed the title to traditions with the hope of keeping flemnco in the entry as it is something very close to my heart.

We're in the middle of the Bienal de Flamenco here in Seville ... finances have made it impossible for me and Nog to see the artists we really wanted to see - but last time (two years ago) we did get to see Paco de Lucía.
You probably know that flamenco has its birthplace in Andalucia, specifically in Jerez (and Cádiz?), but it's now widespread throughout all of Andalucia and also other parts of Spain.
The guy who designed our clothing website also designed the webpage for the Museo del Baile Flamenco - you might like to check it out.

And this is the link for this year's Bienal de Flamenco here in Seville.

How is it that you fell in love with flamenco?

My grandmother used to take us to see it when we went over to see her in the school holidays, the passion of it always fasinated me, of course it could just be that I have a thing for sprited women and thats why I like it.

Sorry you decided to pull your Entry - it seemed to be shaping up quite nicely. Though I have to admit that one of the reasons I've never written a solo guide entry was because I've never wanted to put myself through the Peer Review process - I've seen some pretty nasty stuff go on there.
Well, never mind. Perhaps if I ever get round to writing something on Andalucia we could pool our resources and do it together? Especially since Flamenco (and I believe bullfighting) originated in the south of Spain. Anyhow, just a thought.

It won't be wasted my friend is going to use some of it for a university project she's thinking of doing

Okay, well maybe sometime later on we can get together and write a piece about Flamenco and Andalucia together ... it would actually feel 'safer' for me to do this with a friend rather than face PEER REVIEW all on my lonesome ...

Just saw your post on GB's thread. I don't know much at all about what you and Jack are going through, though I've guessed a few things here and there. Just to say that if you ever want to chat here that I'm a good listener. And there's the link to my email on my PS if you'd ever like to chat more privately.

Also, checked it out ... women don't ever wear black when getting married in Spain. Not sure where that one came from, but I got it from the horse's mouth, so to speak, from someone who is very up on customs in various parts of Spain. She'd never heard of such a thing in her life and told me this never happens.
Well, we'll use that on our joint entry some time in the future.
