Do you know I told tuc about this site I found it by mistake one day when i was look for something else at work, but wasn't able to join as i didn't have a pc at home, After he dided I thought it would be unbearable to come here with some of you knowing him but dax encouraged me and I'm so glad I have, sometimes you just need to know that someones been thinking of you and that alone can make the day brighter, thanks light

I kinda ended up here by mistake too - but its one of the best mistakes I ever made.

I am glad that you and Dax have been around. You are obviously a close family and I am glad we were able to know Tuc. He was one heck of a guy - but you dont need me to tell you that! Still it seems to me he came from one heck of a family

I am doing OK - its been a really hectic week at work and I have had no time to think which has been good! I have been kept busy in the evenings too so no time to dwell on stuff. I know I should face up to it, the hurt is large. I can only start to imagine how you and Dax feel

The funeral is on Wednesday

The week after I have a holiday which I hope will give me the mental space and time I need to unwind and get my head together, ready to face the world. Letting someone go is a long process and it goes through many phases. I know my Grandmother will always be with me in some way, just as Tuc will always be there with you - encouraging you to be the best Cal you can be and to keep laughing

How are you coping?

You know i get through the day but then i see dax giving me that look, and it's because i look like tuc and she'll be remembering somthing the two of them did, (tuc only lived round the corner from her) and that makes me sad because then i think i'm making it harder for her being there i'm like a constant reminder

It cant be easy for either of you - do you talk about it?

If I were her I would rather be able to remember, but I am sure you should not feel bad for reminding people of him - you are not the same person he was - you are you - but the fact that you share so many of the qualities people loved in him must be good

I guess the only way to get through it is moment by moment

If there is anything I can do you do know you just have to ask dont you?

So what is happening with work now?

the union have got their teeth into it and instend of being suspened for a day on full pay i am now suspened for a week on full pay until they have had chance to sort it out, i'm due back at work on friday at 10.30 for a hearing

So what have you been doing instead?

snowy's has just come for a love so i'm trying to type with her sat on my knee (she's a lab)

I've been going to the gym and riding the bike hence the big graze on my arm (from the bike not the gym)

My parents used to hae a lab - they are wonderful! Ours was called Emma - she used to wiggle in the most amazing way when she walked - great to see!

I would love to be able to have a dog again but with the hours I keep that is not really an option!

Motor

one of tucs friends lives just around the corner from dax I was on my way home and saw him in his garden I stopped to talk, because it was warm yesterday I rolled down the top half of my leathers (I had a t-shirt on underneath) and because dax is "just around the corner just 1 street away " didn't think to pull them back up, at the juction to dax's street i slipped on some oil and went skidding along the tarmac hence the graze, if I had stopped to pull my leathers back up i would've been o.k

I should have more sense under the circumstances

Its quite understandable tho! I hope it did not scare you too much.

Do you and Dax live near the countryside?

dax was in a flap when i got in, understandable really

Dax lives in Doncaster famous for the grand St ledger horse race, so there's country side about but I can remember a time when there used to be a lot of countyside between here and sheffield and now theres seems like there is hardly any at all

When my Brother first moved to that area he was in Doncaster! Now they are in a little village near Wakefield They do seem to have some countryside

Do you preferr towns or the countryside?

Are there great places to walk with Snowy?

There is a place called glass park where we walk snowy it's along the canal so it's really nice, i prefer the country. Wakefield is about 30 to 50 mins from doncaster (depending on how fast you drive)

I definitely preferr the countryside. My cottage is in a really small village with only about 100 people - I am surrounded by hills and farm land - the village has a small brook and the whole area is beautiful. There are lots of trees and paths you can walk too.

When they fist moved my brother used to still work in Doncaster. Now he is based in Leeds

He rides a motorbike too

My eldest brother works in leeds
