Dw. Dunphy: A Primer
Do you remember that child's toy that was advertised on the back of comic books around the 1970s, the ones called "Sea Monkeys" that were nothing more than specks of brine shrimp set adrift in tanks of water, the ones that would be your attentive companions when mom and dad wouldn't allow you to have a puppy? Do you remember Sea Monkeys?
Dw. Dunphy is an interesting fellow, but only to Sea Monkeys.
He hails from Red Bank, New Jersey, USA and is a writer/artist/musician/bon vivant/balding 32 year old man. His most recent work of fiction, "Drivers of the Plague", is currently in serialized form at GateWay Science Fiction magazine (www.gateway-sf-magazine.com), soon to be a "p.o.d." by the same publisher.
He also contributes a column to on-line firebrands/website It's The Cat's Ass (www.itsthecatsass.com).
His current CD entitled "Buckaroo", a collection of quite difficult independent pop-folk, has just been released by Secret Decoder Records ([email protected]).
And you would think that with all this going on, with so much media being commandeered for his own personal egotism, that you would have heard of Dw. Dunphy before. Ah, but you are not a Sea Monkey and therefore have a lot more going for you than a fishtank full of dehydrated brine shrimp.
You also probably make more money than him and do not have to spend your time as a cashier at a discount department store. You are, indeed, fortunate. Certainly, you refer to yourself in the first person whereas he is too self-conscious to call himself "me" than "himself". Grammar can no longer save him and he's surely headed to a third-person hell created by the souls of long-passed tormented brine shimp who spun dizzily at his twirling finger in the water, caught in a vortex of his own amusement.
Dw. Dunphy is a right b*****d.
