I tried getting committed once, didn't work, I was deemed too insane for their comfort.

I had an even worse gory dream last night. There must be something I have to face or sort out mentally to get rid of the gore aspect.

Someone was dismembered with his various parts crushed (the worst bit being his head) in a large and complex machine. There was blood, guts, brains, and it wasn't very nice.

The dream itself is one of those weird ones. There were two species - one of which considered itself superior to the other. One species - the superior one - looked a little like vogons, the other looked spikey. I was of the inferior race and I was trespassing where I shouldn't for an important reason. They chased me and tried to kill me. Then I stumbled into the machine and saw another male of my species walk into the machine as though accepting his death.
Then I covered my face and another of my species said I could pass for the superior species with my face covered.

A lot of my violent dreams accompany a theme like this one. One was where a load of unnecessary worker class types were being marched up to kill themselves by jumping off giant chimneys by dominant people.

Another was in a twisted world where a veteran from 'the great war' was being expected to kill himself because he'd been fired.

That last one would make a good short story, I think!

What are you being made to feel you shoud aspire to but you dont want to?...just popped into my head that..

i think the gore part just reflects your taste in video games perhas

Well it would be set in a twisted future universe where people had very odd ways of thinking and one veteran had been fired and because of the bizarre society he was expected to kill himself out of shame or something and... and...

...

...there would be some big moral to the story about how cheap life is to society when it is no longer of any use via taxation, service etc.

Last nights dream was much better - only a few corpses. And lots of faeries, magic, and guns.

And I had my usual wings.
