h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi there, and welcome to h2g2! I'm fords, one of the Assistant Community Editors (official meeters and greeters) and a Guru (helpers of all queries technical) and I'd like to welcome you to the wonderful world of 'hootoo'.

First up, your Personal Space. You can have whatever you like on your space, within reason of course - - and the best way to do this is to use <./>GuideML</.>. GuideML is very much like HTML, and is very easy to use. If you click on the link you will be taken to the GuideML Clinic, which is very useful!

Secondly, interesting places to go. On my own Personal Space (which you can get to by clicking on my name above) I have compiled a list of useful links to get newbies started, as well as other lovely clubs and suchlike I like to frequent.

I have been browsing around h2g2 for a couple of days now, and I like it very much! I had some trouble finding things on the site in the beginning, but am getting used to it more and more!

I got the hang of GuideML within a quick glance, it's just a proprietary XML, and it's a great way of getting a uniform layout across h2g2!

My first posts will be coming along soon, expect some stuff on the better musicians currently around, including Tom Waits and such!
