My name's 3 Of 8, and I'll be your ACE (Assistant Community Editor)for the journey... If you look to the left you can see your most recent conversations, if you look to the right you can see your username in a lovely blue/green box.

If you don't like the view, change to Goo by clicking your preference button situated on the orange bar above.

You will notice that there are no exits, you are now asked to remain seated at your computer, and not log out for the remainder of the journey.

If you click on this little fellow, you will be magically transported to his home, to meet his friends, and find out more about them, and how to include them in your conversations.

i thought i was all alone in this big place lol.
my two boys are one very large handful
they keep me going 24/7 kai goes to nursery now for the afternoons

You're definitely not alone!! If you click the Who's Online button (on the orange bar), you can see which researchers are online right now. If you click their names, you'll be taken to their userspace, and if you feel like it, why not leave them a message at the bottom of their intro? We're a friendly bunch, and we welcome any new messages we get

If you want to know where the best place to 'chat' is: On the bottom, left of the front page, the 5 busiest conversations are listed. If you have a look through them, you'll find there's lots there for everyone... If you feel like joining in, then please do, afterall that's what the rest of us do

Ask the h2g2 community, has some good conversations going at times. I'm not sure if you'll find these on the first list of topics but:

'What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?'
and
'Tell us a joke'

are two conversations that are listed in the Ask the h2g2 community forum, (you might have to click the next circle along to find them) but they are great to read, (the backlog is big, but worth it!!)
and you can always start a new conversation yourself if there's something particular, you'd like to chat about.
