Hi Manda
Thanks very much for sending me a message and welcoming me to h2g2. Yes I am new to this and am still trying to find my way around the sight.
Like you I am over 21 but under 61 and again like you I am nearer 61.
I live in South East Essex and am married, sadly no children but I do have a house full of pet. 1 dog, 2 cats & 2 budgies.
Hope we can chat again soon
Bye for now.

Hi Two southcoast lovers, nice to hear from you, first the smilys, if you click on this number >> A155909 or you can click on any smily that you see posted, lick this >> , on the smily page you will see a heading "LONG CODE", pick the smily that you want and put it the long code in two of these < >
Next the pics , First you have to change to " GUIDEML " , you do this by clicking on the "EDIT PAGE" button, and then on the bottom of the page you will see "PLANE TEXT" and "GUIDEML" , put a spot in the GUIDEML spot then click on the "CHANGE STYLE" button,
Then you have to make sure that all your writing is in between these
LIKE THIS
then click on this number >> A692741 , pick your picture and then you can copy the code or you can cut and paste it on your page,
hope this helps

Actually, I must say that this Guide is quite friendly, but a little wordy. I'm so used to not-very-friendly websites, or ones where if you post a message you automatically get hit with sexual predators. So you will have to pardon me if I seem a little shy.
I found the Guide by looking for the London Times online. Yahoo, when I looked up the Guide a few years ago, sent me only to fan pages and not the actual Guide, so it was quite a surprise to find the Guide after all these years. I had heard of the passing of the Creator, (words cannot express the shock and sorrow), so I had no idea that this continued on as a legacy.
Life in California is nothing like "Baywatch", by the way. I think that show is so hilarious, as first of all, ninety percent of the beach guards are guys, and very few of them drive boats or personal watercraft. Most man the lifeguard stands alone, (One stand every 500m) and have rescues about one day a week. I just heard about a new show coming on BBC about a rock band in Los Angeles. Oh yeah, like that will be soooo realistic. Let me guess, they go to a lot of sleazy clubs, they hang out at Venice beach, someone has gratuitous sex with someone else (and being more liberal than American t.v., it could be anyone). Los Angeles is so not like that. I used to live twenty miles from Hollywood (sorry, not good at metric conversions) and it was like Hollywood was in another country or something.
Where I live now in the San Joaquin Valley, there's a lot of farms.
Third in the world for agriculture. Next week my college class on Soil Science begins (I'll be studying dirt)(It's required for my Landscape Horticulture degree. Apparently my B.A. in English is not getting me anywhere.) Tell me about life in England. I've never been there.

Hi ttholt,Nice to hear from you.Yes this site is very friendly and you dont get any sexual predators, (well,I have not found any yet)I have been to the USA 7 times and I have not seen any "Baywatch" beach guards yet,not being sexist but I have never seem any femail beach guards yet,but I am sure there is some,
Life in England is ok, well it is for me ,( you will always get some one that moans),you can find loverly country sides as well as crouded town, the pubs shut at 11 o'clock, there is a lot of things to see,but I think it is like a lot of places,if you live here you take the nice thing for granted and never relies they are there,
speak to you soon
