A leaky ceiling!?
First day back at work for me after the Easter break, I think the alarm clock is still in one piece.

I'd have been in a better mood today if I hadn't had to sleep on the couch for the past 4 days and now have to put my room back together...stupid damp room

and Poor you!
I think 'summer' is supposed to be on the way, at least you can go and hide in a tent when it starts to rain again.

I@m okay, skiving school, it's not a big loss, I've got a week left and practically all art periods today, unfortunately all my art stuff has to be done at home now or I have to drag an A2 inch thick slab of wood (or more commonly know as a desk top/drawingboard) to school along with a bag full of acrylic paints...
that and my sis is having exams today and it's nice to have someone around.

Sounds like home is a good idea then, lugging that lot around all day can't be fun. At least you've got company. Have you just about finished everything? Ready to on Friday!
or ?
It's very quiet here at the moment, most of the college seems to be out on placement, and those that aren't are busy with practical sessions. I'm just waiting for the end of term panic.

Aye it'll be different at college, the High doesn't have any acrylic paint or decent paint brushes and the chances are my painting would get vandellised if I left it attached to a board there...safer at home and working at home is preferable. Peasy's just gone off for her exam, she's panicking a little.
What are you studying?

Much safer at home then, and if you've got all your own equipment to hand and no time limits on rooms etc. it must be a more relaxing place to work.
I can't paint(ok, I do rather a good job on sheds and animal hutches but I don't think that count), draw or anything like that so those that can I admire.
I'm not studying anything atm, except perhaps student behavior. I work in a college library. It's good fun most of the time, and I get on well with most of the students. I can't stay here forever, but for now it works and I'm enjoying it.
I trained as a primary teacher, but after a term of working full time in a school I decided that I'd rather be happy and enjoy life than drive myself to misery and depression.

it is, I can't work at school, too many distractions
hehe I prefer making things or decorating than painting or drawing but it's a part of the course you can't get out of.
As long as you're enjoying it. My mum working a school library and she really enjoyed it though she wishes she'd been an english teacher I think
Yes Happiness is better than depression by a long shot. Do you think you'll ever go back to it?

I'm enjoying it, and for now it's working round everything else. I'll move on at some stage in the future (the college is re-structuring so at some point I'll have to move whatever happens), but as for when and where - who knows? Time will tell, I've trusted 'fate', although I don't know if that's the best way to describe it, in the past so here's to the future......
That's a tad waffly and strange for 11:00 in the morning! Ahhh well, I'm in a reflective mood today.
I'm fairly certain I'll never go back to teaching. If I do go back into a classroom it won't happen until the government has done something about the amount of worthless form filling, paper work and tests, and culture amongst parents who won't believe the teacher adn who think their little darlings are all . Best not to get me started really.
ANy ideas about where you want to go in the future? Whatever, three years in Uni first to enjoy yourself and find out...... Or should that be ?

sounds like you're better off out of it
Future, I dunno, maybe something to do with textiles, definantly something do with design...I've got ambitions to start my own business but we'll see where my degree takes me

Sorry about that, I got slight carried away there.
Wherever the wind blows then! Sounds like a good idea to me.
We've just had an invasion, most of the remaining sports students have crashed through the front doors, bouncing off the ceiling and shelves.
Time to spoil the current game of dodgems that's taking place on the wheelie chairs out in the computer room me-thinks.

Something like that.
I take the view that something always turns up when it's needed. It might not seem like its ever going to; it might take a bit of time, but problems have a way of working themselves through and strange/complicated events are often linked.
How’re you today, skiving again? All’s quiet here atm so I think I should go and hunt out the kettle.
