I am working to find out what I can do here and how I can paint my page.
I am a writer and a poet, and if I can I will bedazzle you with words
Written Word
Words, this is what I write,
Words, this is what I am,
What do these words do to us,
What do these words say.
How can they create emotion,
How can they make us see,
The written word is so limited,
How can it make us feel.
Where is the pause,
Where is the breath,
How can you show fear,
How can you show excitement.
It's not the word, It's in your mind,
Your mind draws the picture,
A word evokes a memory,
A word recalls a past.
Does the reader see what the writer sees,
Are the pictures the same,
Can the writer paint what he sees,
And the reader see the same.
When I write, I write from inside my head,
While the reader draws from his,
Although the picture is similar,
It is never quite the same.
