My mum called last night to tell me my Nan wasn't very well ,feeling sick and wobbly so she'd been round and put her to bed and my dad was going to stay there the night.She also apologised for a silly row wed had when shed got in from work over my credit card she keeps from me n was going to leave me the money i needed to get my bro a birthday present today under the doormat his morning.
She just called 5 mins ago to tell me she hadnt been able to leave it, ok i said..half asleep n thinking shed been late for work, then she said they were at bromley hospital with nan! they've taken her to accident and emergecy of course im far more concerned about nan..sily mum.
I do hope she'll be ok. We haven't always seen eye to eye, but i do love the old moo..and i really really could have gone to see her a lot more than i have in the last couple of years..

i know youre 91 but not yet nanny eh!

Last heard theyve admitted her after some tests..its gastroenteritits they think, and she'll be there a few days.

We're not overly worried at the mo as theyre prolly mostly being on the safe side cos of her age. I hope shes ok though,realy do..and I'm grateful Ged here to take my mind off things a bit.

more news today.. she managed to fall out of bed last night..over reaching for something but is ok they now say that they dont know if it was gastroentritis...(shes ok now) and the main reason theyre keping her there is concern about her mental state...shes seeming very confused.She doesnt remember beinhg sick n is convinced shes there for a leg injury we knew nothing about(she didnt say !) which they've discovered is a deep ulcer!
There was talk of social services being involved with a care package when she gets home..but its starting to sound more like she cant live alone anymore

So do I , some of my less favurite relatives are most likely already planning how to spend the money from her house

Not much more news to report really.Nan's still in the hospital.Theyre mostly keping an eye on her leg though n she'll hopefully be home in the next couple of days.Mum says shes giving them hell!

Mum called this evening to say nans coming home friday(we'll need to be there to let her in n get her settled as everyone else is at work at that time of morning) .From saturday shell have a care in morning n lunchtimes n a cleaner on wednesdays from now on. She refused meals on wheels so theyve obviously not broken her spirit yet!
