Are there any tube stations near where we want to be in croyden that I can get the 'regular' tube from kings X too, like not the thames link train doobry damn, why does my traveling places always get so complicated I was* kind of think of just getting a cab from kings X, and back again; my geography being so bad, I just think everywehre Londond way is a few mins in a cab away

Ah ha! I can* get the train from Cambridge to Kings X, get the tube from kings X to London Victoria, and get a train from Victoria to Croydon East looks to be a journey of about 1 hour 48, which, for some reason, appears to be quicker than the other route it came up with, using Thames link from near kings X means I'd still need a use the tube which I don't like, but which is something I probably should* get used to doing not sure how it'd work out for the return on the same night, but I still need to look at the hotel see how much that'd cost me would be cool, though, if I did that journey, if I could be met at Croydon East, if that were posible, save me a taxi fare that end; how near is the first pub from the Croydon station?

well, so long as you could meet me at the tube in Croydon that'd be perfect for that bit of the journey journey back looks dodgy though its a case of either really* early leaving Croydon east, or really rather early* in teh Sunday morning so like before 11 PM Sat night, or 5 AM onwards Sun morning ,yikes> any good park benchs in croydon? I need to have another look at the return times though as i think the website is doing one of its failing to acknowledge certain routes exist as an option, unless that is the only way I can do it because the trains to Cambridge stop so stupidly early from Kings X

I wonder.... Maybe* I could get a train from Victoria to somewhere other* than kings X, which might* be able to provide me a train that went to CAmbridge.... *thinks.... if there was a train from Norwich to Cambridge, late* I might* be able to go victoria to Norwich and then Norwich back down to Cambridge talk about convoluted though

naa, that wouldn't work, I tried looking at going from Victoria to a few stations that might* have given later trains to cambridge, but that doesn't seem to work *thinks*

Sorry, did someone say something? was it cheapish? is it anywhere near the Croydon East train staion or the pubs we are in? if I stay in a hotel this Saturday; it'l be two saturdays on a row I've spent in hotels as a consequence of going places to meet H2G2 friends and get drunk! well, better than, say, for example, spending all my money on Herrorin

It was about £55 for the night and included a buffet breakfast. The Jurys Inn is also just round the corner from East Croydon station
