Summer holidays have started (any suggestions on cheap -free things to do with bored 7 year olds appreciated as usual)..and I have all the energy of a soggy potato.. still Actually woke up feeling quite bright n wanting to get out n do something for the first time in a while this morning..so went to see some friends..didn't last that long though n i was desperate for a nap by 4pm! It's not right I say..gonna go see the next week about that n all whats going with it,..n something else thats niggling me too that I hope comes to nothing!
Gonna take the boys to the park tomorrow n lounge under a tree with a book I think.. as long as it doesn't rain..and I seem to have completely forgotton what else I was gonna say..

Tie him to a tree with a long bit of rope and some toys to play with. If he's not happy, there's nothing he can do about it

Any distant relitives you could just unexpecidly and unannounced send him off to? make him paint the house? Get him a playstation/whatever the latest doobry box is Send him off to 'summer school'? Or just tie him up as suggested But, whatever you do, please, please don't send him over to my road; I knew the hols must have started, from the constant noise of children outside playing in the busy road

Ooo, Boxs! I luv boxs they are great, I mean, so cool, I had a box for ages a year or so back I used to mess about with, sometimes I'd sit in it, sometimes I'd put it on my head, and sometimes I'd put things in it!

Get him a wildlife viewer that kept me quiet for years, suddenly you can see all the detail on a flies back etc. Theres a shop in Croydon which does them, just a bit of cardboard or plastic with a magnifying glass in it.

Hmm, you need something that involves him running around ceaselessly thus wearing himself out, whilst you can sit and watch indulgently
Try nailing one foot to the kitchen floor.

I used to play with them too... until they managed to get their imagination going...
I think I was a bigger kid than they were when it came to making up stories!

I used to, as a kid, spend all my summer hols, and the others, well out of my parents way, hicking, cannoeing, sailing, fishing and 'mucking about' in the marsh/woods etc Guess thats one of the advantages of having been in a pretty country side place and if we did stuff with parents, we would go to the beach, as we were near that too and we hardly ever* got into trubble... Honest
