There isn't one of those "kicking an inflatable pig's bladder around a park" things going on tonight?

Glad you've been to see the doctor
Hopefully they'll get you sorted out
I can echo that being thin doesn't make you happy, but it does wonders for your self confidence and health. Its not easy to lose it, but you need to stay focused!

It does, actually, as horrible and shallow as it sounds. I feel so much happier for shedding 2.5 stone, although it was water retention in the first place!
There was a thing on the BBC News website (I think) about how when you go for a job interview people are more likely to employ thin people..

Yep! Always wear a black suit and keep smiling, even when you're thinking "this job sounds rubbish".

What to wear to an interview (tm) all the books you buy about giving a great interview*:
Plain suit, blue/grey/black (not brown or green!)
Plain shirt. White is best, pale blue acceptable. That's it. No stripes, no patterns, no nuffink.
Simple tie. Non-obtrusive stripes, but preferably one with small dots, or just plain colour (not bright!)
Plain socks. Blue, grey, black.
Black shoes. Lace-up, or slip-on, but not "fashionable". Definitely not brown. Oh, and polish them the night before.
The basic message is that you don't want anything in your attire to distract the interviewer from *you*. The interviewer will then be concentrating purely on you. The experienced interviewer will notice that you've done this, think "this guy has read a book about interviewing skills, he wants me to take him seriously" and do the same.
I did ask one candidate** in an interview "what preparation did you do to for this interview?" He replied "none". 10/10 for honesty, but...he didn't get the job.

* You do have one of these, don't you?
** Actually, I asked all the candidates this question. He was the only one to give me a comedy answer.
