Howdy...
boddhisatva Posted Apr 4, 2006
Hi Tanya
Haven't been about for a bit. Been away from work and I only access H2G2 at work.(too busy at home!!)
I read your rant/cry of despair ("Evolve or die"). You sound pretty down right now. I didn't add to that thread as it seems to have gone very surreal!
Just remember nothing is forever, sometimes it just seems like it!
Thanks for the info about Worcester sauce (veggy version) I'll look out for it.
Enjoy your break, get so few of them once "work" kicks in.
Take care

Well, it's always good to be away from work! Hope you've been enjoying yourself
Surrealism is the best medicine.. I'm sure Dali would agree
Don't take my rantings to heart - I was more so trying to see if anyone had anything to say on the subject, but the reverberating answer seems to be "no" The philosophy of friendship gets overlooked frequently, methinks.
My personal motto is "all things must pass" [I promise it's not entirely a George Harrison reference, too... ]
It's worth keeping an eye out, for sure!
I recently also came across a vegan pepperoni which is very nice... Always good to rediscver an alternative to something you've missed.

Hi EE,
Haven't been around for a few days now. Hope you're well. Looking forward to Easter and a well deserved rest. Do hope the weather cheers up though. There's nothing worse than being stuck inside watching the rain for a few days and then, when it's time to return to work, the sun comes out!!
It must be getting close to "Make your mind up" time for University? Have you decided on Warwick for certain? I know it seems a bit early, but have you sorted accomodation? Are you going to live in halls for the first year? This is usually the easiest (and cheapest) option for freshers (horrible word I know).
Anyway here I am getting all nosey again.
Take care

I haven't been around either... Just gotten back from Scotland, where, believe me, grey skies would have been gladly accepted! There was even some snow
I've chosen Warwick for certain now, yes... Still haven't sorted out the finances, must do that asap Years of debt, here I come...
"fresher"...at least I'll only be one for a year!

Hi Back again.
Had a wonderful time lying in bed till all hours. Not having to get up at six o'clock makes a real difference to how you view the day!
The weather was warm, mostly sunny and it feels as if Spring has finally sprung. About time too!
Hope you're well and coping with what life is dealing you at the moment.
I still haven't managed to trace the veggy Worcester sauce might have to try a "health" food shop .
Speak to you soon.

Now you're just tourmenting me, with your tales of long lie-ins...
Yeah, the weather has /really/ picked up! It's actually /warm/
I'm cool, hopefully I'll be out of school soon, so it's all good!
It's worth tracking down

Hey EE
Well, here I am back at work.. Long lie-ins are now a thing of the past. Until July anyway.
Hope you're well, full of the joys of... etc.
There's not much to do at the moment, so all I'm doing is planning my next holiday. Only ten weeks to go!!! In my head I can hear my mother saying "You're just wishing your life away" which is true but everybody does it.
I just wish I could earn money at the rate at which I spend it. Who knows you may reach that level if you decide to do a doctorate and become a consultant? That's where the money is these days. It's money for old rope. I know because the Government employ a lot of consultants. Every time they have a new initiative or computer system they "get in the consultants." It's a criminal waste of money really but what do I know?
Opps better get back to work Keep smiling!

Roll on July, then
Oooh, you off somewhere nice? Ah, it's good to have something to look forward too
*note to self: become consultant* Cheers for the tip
The government manage to spend a lot on seemingly unecessary things...
Y'know, I ran a political part in the school mock general election. We won. We were, "The Jedi Party". No, seriously. My headmistress: not amused "may the farce be with you"...

Not decided on holiday destination yet. Always decide on that at the last minute it feels more spontaneous that way.
I'm not surprised the headteacher wasn't amused by your Jedi Party. She was probably reaching for the "independent thought" alarm as soon as she realised.
The reason that the G'ment spend so much on consultants is so they can't be found guilty of "not researching the topic deeply enough". (It's more so their friends get a shot at the contract) Big bucks you see.
Anyway EE, the sun's shining and I'm off to take advantage. See you! Take care

Ah, spontaneous decisions always lead to unexpected results... I'm sure you'll have no end of fun adventuring...
She most definitely was.... The look on her face when she was reading the results.. well, it was *priceless*
*understands* Big Bucks... So that's why they employ donkeys!
Enjoy the sun!
