Bernard here!
Hi there!I'm Bernard and I'm a member of the Devon Editor team working on this fab and groovy website.
I'm not a local chap, I admit that very quickly. I'm originally from Belfast in Northern Ireland and came to Plymouth to study at the city's university in the early 1990s.
After I graduated, I decided to stay, Plymouth being a lot quieter than Belfast was the time. I've been here ever since - and rather enjoying it, it would appear!
When I'm not working on BBC Devon Online, I play bass guitar with some local pub and club bands after a stint of being a television session musician (available for weddings, birthday parties and family get-togethers!); do a bit of reading (I have a particular fondess for lots of cheap books from charity shops, hence the rather large wall-weakening shelves I've had installed at home); and try and take in what the band scene is up to around the county. Let me know about any music gossip - I'll be interested if you're in a band or you've just heard someone who was rather groovy.
We all hope our little virtual village will get bigger and bigger as more people decide to open new sites and their own homepages.
If you do submit articles, let everyone else know about it, especially all the punters at The Editors Arms, which is run by m'colleague the Big JG. Great Beer, great chat.
Looking forward to some pub fun and good conversation.
Regards and hugs, Bernard

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
