I checked it out ,it went off on sunday,but i think that happens every sunday,if i remember right?

Have you had any floods? Sheffield have got it really bad,we are so lucky,but,a little place called (ironically) Water Orton,had it bad,compared to the north,it was a trickle..i feel so sorry for those people killed and lost there homes.

It has been quite bad, especially in the low lying area's. Luckily I live on a hill, but we've lost all cable services. And been cut off from certain areas. One of my mate's hasn't been able to get to work all week. As the dam that they're trying to stop bursting is right behind his workplace. But we've certainly been the lucky ones. Apart from the kids been off school of course.

I did see on the news about the main dam,if it burst,would cause distruction,hopefully it's under control now? Losing cable,is better than losing your home..we are so grateful for living in the west midlands..for once ...hope your mate can get to work soon as for the
schools bet their lovin' it

The dam's been shored up and is safe, for now. My mate was off for the rest of the week but he's back now. And luckily the kids were only off for a day and a half.

This is the worst weather i ever known,i got a week off this month,i was hoping to go to Devon or Cornwall,but i'm in two minds,to jump on a plane and off somewhere hot!
My Sister and Hubby are due back this evening,from Morocco,she's been texting me while she was away and it was a scorcher

Unless you want to wear wellies on your hols you might be better getting away. The Met office seems to think this is all we can expect.

I hate holidays in this country at the best of times,you can never guarantee the weather,even worse this year, ..looks like the wellies.I did after all 'PROMISE' the grandkids

Change of plan,i'm taking the little ones for a day break,their going away with mom'n dad later in the year,so they won't miss out..i'm off to Tenerife with a friend in September,so i don't miss out

I know what you mean, the weather has been dreadful this summer.

I haven't been 'away' for a few years now and i'm in need of a break,luckily,the spanish friend i'm goin' away with,has a sister in Tenerife,won't accept money for our keep,she would consider it an insult..bring it on
