Normal (non-acid) rain is also acidic due to carbon dioxide being dissolved in it (acid rain has sulphur dioxide dissolved in it).

Rain And Strawberry Facts

Raindrops are not actually pear/tear-shaped!
Raindrops less than 1mm in radius remain spherical due to the water's surface tension being stronger than the air resistance and up to 4mm in radius they become more squashed, because the air resistance becomes more of a factor.
Over 4mm in radius, the raindrop forms a mushroom shape with a hollow 'stalk' where the force of the air tunnels into the raindrop.

In medieval times, strawberries were thought of as aphrodisiacs and newly-weds were served a soup of strawberries, borage (a plant with blue flowers) and sour cream for breakfast.

Change Of Name But Not Of Heart

I've gone down the Numerology route again an found out that after you process the phrase, "Rain and Strawberries", - which has been in my mind all week - you get a figure of 11.

The number 11 is a 'master' number in Numerology; perhaps thats why I found it so interesting.

This probably bores you to Murgatroyd but this means I'm changing my name to "Doctor of Rain And Strawberries, Neri Aracro (KMAW)"

Rain And Strawberries

I was watching, hawk-eyed, the coverage of Wimbledon (by the way I am an avid tennis fan) and one thing happened to stick in my mind.

One of the Ladies' quarter-finalists, Silvia Farina-Elia (of Italy) was asked what her favourite part of Wimbledon and London was, and she replied,

"Rain and Strawberries".

I smiled like a mug when she said it and subsequently that phrase has been endlessly going through my mind like the Wimbledon Special Service Shuttle Bus.

It has half made me fall in love with the woman!

When I find out why this phrase has affected me in this way, I'll report back.
