No, I've never even heard of it, any good?
And the hole, looks pretty cool.
The Matrix? *doesn't understand how anyone can not like that film*

simply scruff singing a rainbow Posted Mar 26, 2002
of course everyone likes the matrix! and anyone who doesn't must be rehabilitated until they are fit to rejoin polite society. Tank girl is fantastic, it's based on this comic, it's completely insane and features the line 'the year is 2033 and the world is officialy f**ked' Always makes me smile anyway

grrrrrr blade sucks rather a considerable amount of ass for free it must be said. but no tank girl is a damn good film with some damn fit people in it (Lori Petty and Naiomi Watts, probably spelt the names totally wrong) time to move onto books, any you'd recomend?

Naomi Watts? Isn't she a character from coronation Street?:-
Favourite books: Well to state the obvious, HHGTTG. I love 1984 by George Orwell, and I am a very big authour of Stephen King. The majority of my book collection consists of his books, favourites being Carrie and Salems Lot. What really annoys me is when they convert his books into usually lame films. Although Green Mile was good.
Anyway, I am babbling, probably the alcohol. Anything you would reccomend?

well at the moment i'm readin good omens by Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaiman, not normally a big Pratchet fan but good omens is a bloody brilliant book, must be Gaimans sarcasm that does it and another good one is the road to mars by Eric Idle, very very funny. Tom Holt is a damn good author aswel. Used to be into horror, liked Stephen King but hooked on comedy now.

LexWest(deceased) Posted Mar 31, 2002
I hate Terry Pratchett. He tries to be like Douglas Adams but forgets to use the basic conventions when it comes to comedy-writing. Its too farce-ical and immaturely written in my opinion.
Neil Gaimans more serious stuff is great. Ie. American Gods.
I've heard good things about Tom Holt but I was biased about the poor cover art.
Eric Idle is amazing in all media forms. Are you into Monty python at all?

Having a good easter so far? i been doing a whole load of nothing and spent the day chatting with old friends otherwise known as drinking and chain smoking. gah i'm such an eej.

LexWest(deceased) Posted Mar 31, 2002
Holy Grail, no debate needed. "Doom awaits you with big pointy teeth!" hehe.
I hate easter. Too commercial and too many fattening food substances. Ive spend the day tying to abstain from food and vomitting. I would drink but my dad has started to lock away the lager
Where abouts do you study drama? I have no idea at all where you are located come to think of it.

I'm from the land of small villages with unpronouncable names (unless of course u've lived here all your life and your mouth never ever goes dry and you don't mind spitting all over your friends when u tell them where u live) aka Wales. I live in a pretty big village called St.Dogmaels or to give it it's welsh name Llandudoch (see) but i'm doing drama in Aberystwyth college. it's a b*tch when parents start locking up the alcohol supply ain't it, it's taken me years of pestering and bugging my mother to turn a blind eye when i come home blind drunk. My dad on the other hand is a completley different story and thinks i'm strange if i don't come home blind drunk *shrugs*
so what do u like doing when u'r not here?

Mm, Same with me. My mum dispises drink, my dad encourages me to drink.
Reading and guitar are my other "past-times". I have a rather boring life. To be honest, most of my time is spent on here, ranging from 3-15 hours a day. I should get out more.
What about yourself?

yep guitar and reading taking up a hell of alot of time here too. Guitar is more of a recent thing though, only been playing a year and a few months. been playin violin 'bout 8 years now, still not any good but still playing coz it makes me happy (makes everyone else wince but hey what do they know) also play some piano and a bit of sax but not often seeing as i don't actually own one and of course the ever faithful recorder! and my other big passion is rowing, been doin that longer than i can remember. damn good fun even if it is u'r truly that always ends up waist deep in very wet very cold river water. anywayz that's quite enough babbling from me. u do any sport?

RAAAAAARGH! hmm not really convincing.
LexWest(deceased) Posted Apr 5, 2002
No, to be honest. Most sports bore me, and things like rowing don't seem to thrive around my areas. Sounds rather cool though.
What grades are you music wise?
RAAAAAARGH! hmm not really convincing.
simply scruff singing a rainbow Posted Apr 5, 2002
Rowing is damn good fun. Sod grades i never did grades in violin, me and my violin teacher developed an understanding after 7 years, i liked jamming, i did not like theory and if he wanted a happy pupil let me play jazz but i got to grade 6 standard. Piano guitar and all the other stuff i teach myself. you play guitar right?

LexWest(deceased) Posted Apr 5, 2002
Yes, guitar is my only real outlet. As my friend wrote about me: "Not such an accomplished musician, but a great guitarist". *Shrugs*.
I also teach myself, its a lot more rewarding. And although I haven't got any real music grades to my name, I'm hoping to take my grade 8 electric by the end of yr 11. Then music college and such.
Are you in a band or anything? Do you write your own songs/compositions?
RAAAAAARGH! hmm not really convincing.
simply scruff singing a rainbow Posted Apr 5, 2002
i was in a band for a while, had a bit of disagreement with the thrash metal obsessed, narrow minded idiot of a drummer and me and my good mate lee took ourselves elsewhere and then decided to leave it for a bit while we got on with the drama course. don't really write songs, i use my art and my poetry to get stuff like that out, especially the poetry, always loved that. poetry fan? do u write any? i love hearing people's poems

LexWest(deceased) Posted Apr 5, 2002
Lol, we have that problem with our drummer.
And yes, I love poetry. Favourite poem being The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe.
I write a lot of poetry. Its all rather lame; ambiguous ramblings with little focus. I write a lot of it though, then lines I like I disect and put into songs.
I was just nosing around and saw you had some of yours on your personal space, I'll go read it.
RAAAAAARGH! hmm not really convincing.
simply scruff singing a rainbow Posted Apr 6, 2002
ambiguity rules! lol. I wouldn't pay too much attention to mine, i tend to describe it as incoherent ramblings where i've just found a whole load of words i like the sound of, shoved them into no particular order and come out with something that makes not much sense works for me. you wouldn't by any chance want to join the fight against squirrel scum and join the anti squirrel league would you??
RAAAAAARGH! hmm not really convincing.
LexWest(deceased) Posted Apr 6, 2002
Hmm ok; I have nothing else to do. What do I do?
btw, I like your poem. Had more device to it than most things I hear.
