I've had a reply from Jim, he says thanks for the offer, but he really doesn't want his own PC.

It appears like many of us Jim has lost interest in (a dying) h2g2, and has found other interests.

I've got one foot out of hootoo's door myself, but the other foot seems to be bonded with superglue

Jimcracker is stranded at home with 8 inches of snow, yesterday by lurking he found this thread.

But because of the bad weather, he can't get to the cyber cafe, for the time being to thank you personally for the generous offer that you made.

Apart from being cheesed off with h2g2 or the lack of .....

To have a pc at home i would never be off it, because of the rubbish on the tv and he also asked me to mention with his health not being as good as it used to before, if he would probably spend half the night on the msn messenger talking to friends like he used and would advisable due to his poor health at the moment.

He has set up his beta page, to see what it would look like and to put on a photo and has reason to believe that when the new beta skin is on h2g2 any access at home will no longer be available, the reason being is that he tried access a message on the Archers thread and he was unable to access it but before the update he could.
